O.C. Eldon Bradford

A funeral mass for O.C. Eldon Bradford, 80, of Guy will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, January 22, 2010 at St. Michael's Catholic Church in Needville with Fr. Joseph Phan officiating. Interment will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park in Rosenberg. Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. -8:00 p.m., with a Rosary at 7:00 p.m., Thursday, January 21, 2010 in the Chapel of Davis-Greenlawn Funeral Home in Rosenberg. O.C. was born June 11, 1929 in Richmond, Texas to O.C. Bradford and Helen Rogge Bradford. He was a member of St. Michael's Catholic Church in Needville. O.C. was employed with Dow Chemical in Freeport as a Pipe Fitter, having retired on November 30, 1988, after 41 years of dedicated service. He took great pride in passing on his knowledge when training new apprentices. O.C. was a member of the Pipe Fitters Union # 390 for over 50 years. Some of his hobbies included going fishing in Somerville and Matagorda. He always kept his hands working, building everything from a house to home made fishing rod holders. He could use any material, whether it be wood, electrical, or even steel. O.C. loved Polka music and Western music often traveling near and far to go to a dance with special friends, Martha and Paul Miller. He was a member of the Happy Cousins Polka Club out of Rosenberg. O.C. passed away Sunday, January 17, 2010 in Sweeny, Texas. O.C. is preceded in death by his first wife, Irene A. Bradford; parents, O.C. and Helen Bradford; and sister, Vera Rizzo. He is survived by his wife of 11 years, Gertrude Bradford; daughters, Joyce Tullos and husband, Carl, Betty Morgan and husband, Lee II; sons, Donald Bradford and special friend, Peggy Snider, Jeffrey Bradford and fiance, Ronda Mahnke ; grandchildren, Dana Uherek and husband, August II Augie, Aaron Tullos and wife, Leslie; Landon Morgan; Clint Morgan and wife, Audra, Shadley Bradford and husband, Carey; Justin Bradford, Kelsie Bradford; great-grandchildren, Miranda, Caleb and Tucker Uherek and Reghan Tullos; sister, Dorothy Mires; step-children, Sandra Wallis and husband, Vit, Aron Clark and wife, Linda, Carol Benedettini, Marvin Clark and wife, Shirley; numerous step-grandchildren and step great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Evelyn Bernshausen; brother-in-law, Leonard Grigar and wife, Donna; along with numerous other family and friends. Pallbearers will include Aaron Tullos, Augie Uherek, Brad Bernshausen, Mike Wehring, Tony Hensley and Aron Clark.
