Marvin "Trey" Steve Gerke III

Marvin Steve Gerke III, fondly known as “Trey”, passed away suddenly on January 20, 2024 at the age of 49. He was born on June 20, 1974 in Houston, Texas to Marvin Steve Gerke, Jr. and Jennifer McQuage Gerke. Trey’s hobbies included spending time outdoors, whether it was hunting, fishing or taking in the scenic mountains. He loved music and was a talented musician. He also enjoyed visiting various breweries across the U.S., always eager to add to his beloved sticker collection. He was a Manager of Manufacturing at HTS Amptek for over 30 years. Trey will deeply be missed by those who loved him. Trey is preceded in death by his father, Marvin Steve Gerke, Jr. and his in-laws, Russell and Carolyn Wyatt. Survivors include his wife of 23 years, Rhonda Wyatt Gerke; children, Sophia and Kolton Gerke; mother, Jennifer Gerke; siblings, Joseph “Joey” Gerke and wife, Sarah, and Jenna Gerke Millis and husband, Marshall; brothers-in-law, Ron Wyatt and wife, Lori and Walter Wyatt and wife, Melanie; nephews and niece, Jacob Gerke, Micah & Mason Millis and Corrie Beth Newell; along with extended family and a host of friends. Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m., Friday, February 2, 2024 in the Chapel of Davis-Greenlawn Funeral Home in Rosenberg. The funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, February 3, 2024 in the Chapel of Davis-Greenlawn Funeral Home in Rosenberg with Pastor Greg Garcia officiating. Burial to follow at Friedens United Church of Christ Cemetery in Beasley. There will be a reception afterwards at the Friedens United Church of Christ Reception Hall. Pallbearers will include: Kody Gerke, Kyle Gerke, James Horton, Brian Wood, Joseph Rigby, and Scott Derrick. Honorary pallbearers will include: Joey Gerke and Marshall Millis.
