Margarita Gonzalez Villagomez

Margarita Gonzalez Villagomez, 95, of Rosenberg, Texas entered eternal peace on Christmas day morning 2023, surrounded by her loving family in her home. The joy she gave her loved ones while living is now shining in Paradise. She was born to Antonia Garza Gonzalez and Felix Gonzalez Lopez on February 23, 1928, in Los Ramones, N.L. Mexico. Preceded in death by her loving husband of 71 years, Hector Villagomez Silva, two sons Hector Villagomez Jr., and Hernan Villagomez, her parents, siblings Santos Gonzalez Gonzalez, Ventura Gonzalez, Policarpo Gonzalez, and Lydia Gonzalez Cedeño. Survived by her four children, Heriberto Villagomez, Mabel Villagomez, Eleuterio Villagomez & wife Karen, and Elias Villagomez, brother, Tiburcio Gonzalez Garza, and two half-sisters, Santa Gonzalez Guajardo, and Guadalupe Gonzalez Adame. Margarita was a proud Abuelita to her seven grandchildren Cotti, Carlos, Vincent, Anamarie, Matthew, Olivia, and Nicholas and three great grandchildren Sophia, Julieta, and Emma. A resident of Rosenberg since 1952, Margarita devoted herself to her family, home, and church community of Our Lady of Guadalupe. She deeply believed in the value of respect and love for family, deep faith, and hard work ethic. Her life was exemplary. Well known for her excellent cooking, gardening (once winning first prize ribbon for her elephant ear ivy at the Fort Bend County fair), and beautiful yard due to her renown green thumb. At one point she and her son Hernan, along with Hector Sr. ran a plant nursery and concrete patio furniture business. Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m., Friday, December 29, 2023, in the Chapel of Davis-Greenlawn Funeral Home in Rosenberg. A rosary at 7:00 p.m. Celebration of funeral mass at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, December 30, 2023, at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Rosenberg.
