Louis John Petrosky, Sr.

Funeral services for Louis J. Petrosky, Sr., 81, of Richmond, will be held at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, February 8, 2014 in the Chapel of Davis-Greenlawn Funeral Home in Rosenberg. Interment will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park in Rosenberg. Father William D. Bartniski will officiate the services. Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m., with a rosary at 7:00 p.m., Friday, February 7, 2014 in the Chapel of Davis-Greenlawn Funeral Home. Louis was born March 26, 1932 in Fort Bend County, Texas to Alton and Edna Sebesta Petrosky. He honorably served our country in the U.S. Army and was a member of American Legion Post #271 in Rosenberg. He was a member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Rosenberg. Louis passed away on February 5, 2014 in Sugar Land. He is preceded in death by his wife, Sylvia Skarpa Petrosky; parents, Alton and Edna Petrosky; children, Diane, Gary and Maydean; siblings, Minnie Skalski and husband, Edwin, Mike Petrosky and wife, Kathy, and Raymond Petrosky and wife, Marilyn; and brothers-in-law, Emil Skarpa and Alvin Rohan. Louis is survived by his children, Carl Petrosky and wife, JoAnn, Louis Petrosky, Jr. and wife, Teresa, John Petrosky and wife, Cindy, Sandy Cernoch and husband, Byron, and Judy Hajdik and husband, Nick; grandchildren, Lori Vacek and husband, Jason, Carl Petrosky, Jr., Shane Petrosky, Shannon Schwenke and husband, Brian, Matthew Petrosky and wife, Jessica, Marshall Petrosky and wife, Morgan, Dewayne Cernoch and wife, Kandra, Brandon Cernoch, Sheila Shifferly and husband, Ian, Bridget Hensley and husband, Harvey and Brittany Dobbins and husband, Seth; great grandchildren, Kyson and Kase Vacek, Lexi and Jax Schwenke, Holden Petrosky, Falynn and Avery Petrosky, Tanner Cernoch, Trent Cook, Amber and Nicole Cernoch, Conner and Colten Shifferly, Ainsley and Avery Petrosky, Joey and Josh Lagas, Jonathan Holt and Jonah Hensley; sisters, Sara Skarpa and Florence Tupa and husband, Johnnie; brother, Ted Petrosky and wife, Bernice; sister-in-law, Lucille Rohan; his best pal, Bobo; along with other relatives and friends.
