Lois McCafferty

Lois McCafferty passed away on October 1, 2015 in Houston, Texas at the age of 80. She was born on November 29, 1934 in Needville, Texas to John Durwood and Ora Dell Moore McCafferty. Lois' first love was music. She was a singer, songwriter and guitarist. She also had an abundance of love for her family and friends; she was cherished by all who knew her. Lois cared for many animals throughout her lifetime as well. She owned a pet care business and loved this occupation most of all. We will miss our beloved Mother, Grandmother, Great-Grandmother, Mother-in-Law, Cousin, Aunt and Friend, to those who knew and loved her so very much. Lois will forever be in our hearts and souls, for she touched us all deeply. Lois is preceded in death by her parents and all of her siblings. Survivors include her children, Donna Plummer, Paul Nawara and wife, Kelly, Weldon Nawara and wife, Kim, and Mary Carrell and husband, Craig; grandchildren, Joshua Plummer, Erin Plummer, Kimberly Winslow and husband, Lane, Robyn Benoit and husband, Justin, Krystle Bentley and husband, Hunter, Mandy Tarpley and husband, Matthew, Koleby Matson, Breeanna Matson, Edward Matson, Cassie Cheek and husband, Joshua, Brandie Rosas and husband, Phillip, Ashlie Nawara, Kayla Farmer and husband, Travis, and Tiffany Cadmus; 11 great grandchildren; and numerous extended family and friends. Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, October 6, 2015 in the Chapel of Davis-Greenlawn Funeral Home in Rosenberg. The funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, October 7, 2015 in the Chapel of Davis-Greenlawn Funeral Home in Rosenberg with burial following at Needville Public Cemetery in Needville, Texas. Pallbearers will include Lane Winslow, Craig Carrell, Travis Farmer, Hunter Bentley, Justin Benoit and Jonathan Lewis. Memorials may be made in Lois' name to your local ASPCA.
