John Fred Struska Jr.

John Struska Jr. passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family on May 4, 2025 at the age of 90. John was born September 4, 1934 to parents John and Ella Struska of Garwood TX. John ran his own Car Wash businesses as an entrepreneur for 50 years. He bravely served in the United States Armed Forces as an Army National Honor Guard Soldier in Korea. He loved to spend quality time with his family. He enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was known for his delicious cooking and BBQ. This loving Husband, Dad, Pawpaw and friend will be dearly missed. John was in the Knights of Columbus and proudly served as a Past Grand Knight of Council 5678 in Houston, Tx. He is preceded in death by his parents; John and Ella Struska and son Ben Struska and very dear friend Lindsey Guess. He is survived by his loving wife of 66 years; Sandra Struska; children Diana Martin (Dean), Dana Stavinoha (Mark), Jack Struska (Melanie), and Allen Struska; grandchildren Misty Carter (Adam), Mindy Marin (Camilo), Tyler Struska (Lana), Shane Struska (Jenni), Kayla Apperson (Bryan), Mary Jo Stavinoha, Sammy Stavinoha, Rachel Stavinoha, and Clay Struska; along with ten great grandchildren. Also, John is survived by his sister in law, Lynda Cupples (William) and his dear friend Pete Davenport. Special thank you to Kirby Sanders with At Home Hospice and Lakita Copeland-Sanders for their loving care of our Dad. You will always have a very special place in our hearts. Visitation will be held Monday, May 12, 2025, at 9 a.m. with Service to follow at 10 a.m. at Davis Greenlawn Funeral Home in Rosenberg, TX. Burial will take place Monday May 12, at 3 p.m. at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Nada, Texas. Pallbearers are: Dean Martin, Mark Stavinoha, Tyler Struska, Shane Struska, Sammy Stavinoha and Clay Struska. Honorary Pallbearers are: James Amburg, Clint Neely, and Mark Wied.
