Jo Ann Bertha Conrad

Jo Ann B. Conrad, 91, of Beasley, Texas, passed away peacefully, leaving behind a lifetime of cherished memories and a legacy of love. Born in Beasley,Texas on October 20, 1934, Jo Ann married Clinton Conrad on March 16, 1953. They traveled all over while he was in the Navy and then settled in Beasley in 1960 and have resided in the same house since that time. Jo Ann was also a member of Immanuel Evangelical Church in Needville, Texas. She was known as Nana to everyone in the family and even to those people that were not family, called her Nana. Everyone was treated like family, no matter who you were whether it be the holidays, birthday parties or just come and have a meal and visit. She devoted her life to her family and found joy in the simple things that made a house a home. She loved canning with some of her specialties being dill pickles, salsa, homemade ketchup, pickled beets, jams and jellies. She also enjoyed baking and gardening. She loved making homemade treats and baking for her family also. Jo Ann expressed her love through her caring hands and generous heart. She will be remembered for her kindness, her quiet strength, and the warmth she brought to everyone who knew her. She is proceeded in death by her husband of 71 years, Clinton W Conrad, her parents, Joe and Eda Albright and her brothers Byron Albright and Gary Albright. She is survived by daughters Karen Conrad, Kimberley Conrad Hull and husband, Jack Hull, her grandchildren Matthew Tiemann and wife Misty Tiemann, Clinton Hill, Jonathan Hull, Cheyenne Lauderdale, Ashley Watson and husband, Steve Watson and Colton Eaker. Great grandchildren, Kaitlyn Tiemann, Keith Tiemann, Kayden Hill and Bailey Hill. She also leaves behind her cherished friendships with her lifelong friend, Florence Gaskamp of Richmond and good friends Mary Browning and Betty Reyes of Beasley. The family would like to give special thanks to the nursing staff at The Crescent in Sugarland for their loving care they gave to Nana while she was there as well as Dr. Michael Raizner and his staff for their continuing care they gave to her. Family and friends are invited to celebrate Jo Ann’s life on Tuesday at Greenlawn Memorial Park & Funeral Home in Rosenberg, Texas. Visitation will begin at 9:00 a.m., followed by the service at 10:00 a.m.
