Floyd Graeber

A Funeral Mass for Floyd Graeber, 78, of Needville, will be held at 10:00 A. M., Monday, April 27, 2009 at St. Michael's Catholic Church in Needville with Father Joseph Phan officiating. Interment will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park in Rosenberg. Visitation will be held from 5:00 P. M. until 8:00 P. M., Sunday, April 26, 2009, with a rosary being recited at 7:00 P. M., at Davis-Greenlawn Funeral Chapel in Rosenberg. Floyd was born March 25, 1931 in Needville to Adolph Graeber, Sr. and Minnie Oberhoff Graeber. He passed away April 22, 2009 in Richmond. He was a member of St. Michael's Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus in Needville; he was a life time member of the AFLCIO and the Sons of Hermann. Floyd served his country in the Army from 1953 to 1955. He was a member of the first graduating class of Needville High School. Floyd met his wife Anne, the love of his life, while stationed at Ft. Banks in Winthrop, Massachusetts. His family was his pride and joy, especially his children and grandchildren. He was renowned as one of the best Barbequers in Needville and passed his knowledge on to his sons and grandsons. Floyd was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Harris and Melvin Graeber and his sister, Lillian Graeber. He is survived by his wife of fifty-four years, Anne Graeber; children: Richard F. Graeber and wife Brenda, Bruce W. Graeber, Brian R. Graeber and wife Patty, Diane M . Dawes and husband Roger Paul, Janet L. Counts and husband Randy R., Kathleen H. Gibson and husband Russell D., Julie A. Grigar and husband Ronnie A., and Elizabeth M. McClanahan and husband Michael A.; siblings: Adolph Graeber Jr., Gladys Maresh and Joyce Pesak; grandchildren: Shannon M. Graeber, Christopher A. Sedillo, Joshua D. Sedillo, Kassandra L. Graeber, Breanna M. Graeber, Stephanie M. Dawes, Nation P. Dawes, Justice T. Dawes, Cace R. Counts, Alison E. Counts, Brooke A. Counts, Jared W. Graeber and wife Sarah, Blake A. Graeber, Shelby R. Graeber, Jessica L. Gibson, Emily A. Gibson, Delaney H. Gibson, Amanda G. Gibson, Rory C. Gibson, Valerie M. Grigar, Edd Lee McClanahan and Tucker R. McClanahan; great grandchildren: Tyler W. Ernest, Madison N. Ernest and Jeremy W. Graeber; numerous nieces, nephews and other loving family members and friends. Pallbearers will include Jared Graeber, Blake Graeber, Nation Dawes, Justice Dawes, Cace Counts, Christopher Sedillo, Joshua Sedillo and Darren Mrkwa. Honorary pallbearers will include Edd Lee McClanahan, Tucker McClanahan and Tyler Ernest. Memorial donations may be made to St. Michael's Catholic Church Building Fund, P. O.
