Daniel Stephen Nowak

Daniel Stephen Nowak, 79, of Rosenberg, Texas, was welcomed into the loving arms of Jesus on July 2, 2024. He was born on March 26, 1945 in Brenham, Texas to Bruno Tom Nowak and Geneve Dorothy Baranowski Nowak. He met and married the love of his life Rose Marie Faterkowski Nowak on September 26,1964 and called Rosenberg, Texas home for the last 59 years. Daniel had a great devotion to his Catholic faith. He was a longtime parishioner of Holy Rosary in Rosenberg, Texas and St. Wenceslaus in Beasley, Texas. His faith was not just a Sunday commitment; it was a way of life. He showed everyone, through his actions, how to live a life of service, prayer and love for others. Daniel was a very generous and kind-hearted person who never met a stranger. Daniel worked for Mrs. Bairds Bakery and was known to some as the “Bread-Man” for 37 years before retiring. After that he went on to work another 18 years for Fort Bend County in the Facilities Department and retired in 2020. Daniel enjoyed family get-togethers which would include a friendly game of poker. He liked his gambling trips to Louisiana, fishing, being in his garden, church bazaar’s, sitting by a fire and being a grandpa. He is preceded in death by his parents, Bruno Tom Nowak, and Geneve Dorothy Baranowski Nowak, his brother, Bruno Edward Nowak, Sr., sister-in-law, Carole Nowak. Daniel is survived by his loving wife Rose Marie; his son, Tommy Nowak and his wife, Peggy; daughter, Amy Svatek and her husband, Steven; grandchildren, Brandon Morelli-Nowak and his wife, Caitlin, Lupita Nowak and Bailey Svatek; along with extended family and a mass of friends. The family would like to thank Father Vipin George for always checking on Daniel and also for being with his family the past few days. Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, July 10, 2024 in the Chapel of Davis-Greenlawn Funeral Home in Rosenberg. The funeral mass will be held at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, July 11, 2024 at Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Rosenberg with Fr. Vipin George officiating. Burial to follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park in Rosenberg.
