Chelcey C. Pollock

Chelcey Christienne Pollock, 35, of Needville, Texas, earned her wings on Oct.13, 2020, after an incredibly valiant battle with cancer. On May 21, 1985, the world was blessed with her unique and magnificent soul. Chelcey exclusively marched to the beat of her own drum, and we loved her all the more for it. She would never hesitate to be there for a friend, lend a hand for a good cause, or tell it like it is. She taught us all to not judge a book by its cover, to love equally and to be selfless. She loved with all her heart. Be it her family, friends, wide world of pets, or a stranger on the street, Chelcey would be there whenever needed, for whatever was needed. Throughout her life, Chelcey became a friend to many. Those who came to know her would never miss out on a distinctive adventure. Her circle of friends is made up of some of the most amazing people one could ever hope to meet, and her family is grateful for each and every one. Chelcey was blessed with many talents, but her gift as an artist was immeasurable. Her ability to transform a blank piece of paper into a masterpiece of her imagination was truly astonishing. We are blessed that her life will carry on through all the people she has touched, along with numerous works of art and photographs. Among those there to greet her when she entered the Kingdom of God were: her son, David; maternal grandparents, Moira and Sid Ward; paternal grandparents, Grace and Victor Pollock; and too many other family members and friends. Those left here to honor her message of love, understanding and selflessness are: her parents, Beverlie “B.J.” and Bennie Pollock; brother Trace "Brother Bear" and wife Jennifer Pollock; her beloved fur babies Marley, Katie and Melissa; along with numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and dear friends, all of whom she loved immeasurably and who stood right beside her not only during her illness, but all of her beautiful life. A service to celebrate Chelcey’s legacy will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 24, 2020, at Creekside Christian Fellowship in Needville, Texas.
