Betty Ann Wleczyk

Betty Ann Parker Wleczyk was born on December 14, 1945, and went to be with the Lord on September 8, 2009 after a courageous battle with cancer. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. "Mama Betty" was also considered the adopted mother of every friend her children brought home. Betty loved spending time with her family and could not wait for the next holiday so she could see all of them together. She also enjoyed arts and crafts which prompted her to open a ceramic shop where she shared her skills and abilities with everyone she met. She was also very active and loved to travel. Her house in Sargent, Tx was one of her favorite get away spots. Betty was a very strong willed individual and a fighter. Through six years of battling this awful disease, she never gave up. She would always say, "You can do anything you want to do if you want to do it bad enough." The legacy of these words will remain for generations to come. Betty was loved by all, and will be deeply missed. She was preceded in death by her parents Jeff and Geneva Parker and brother Jeff Parker Jr. Betty is survived by her husband of 32 years, Pete Wleczyk Jr.; 6 children, Janet and Dennis Gohlke of Seadrift, TX; Debbie and Dennis Jablonski of Damon, TX; Dale and Diana Malone of Pledger, TX; Mike and Carol Malone of Pledger, TX; Lainie Wleczyk of Houston, TX; Chad and Courtney Wleczyk of Rosenberg, TX; 11 Grandchildren, Tricia Brdecka, Garett Gar Gohlke, Dennis Bubba Jablonski, Sara Mallory Jablonski, Baeleigh Carson, Chelsey LeAnn Gohlke, Tanner Carson, Kodi Jablonski, Megan Malone, Tyler Wleczyk, and Emersyn Wleczyk; 1 Great Grandchild, Kaleb Smith. She is also survived by her sister Rose Flessner of Damon, Tx and numerous nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank DR. Alexanian and Dr. Popatia for adding a few extra quality years to Betty's life. They would also like to thank the Odyssey Healthcare Hospice team for making her last few days as comfortable as possible.
