Antonia V. Aguirre

Antonia V. Aguirre of Rosenberg passed away on December 13, 2015 at the age of 91 surrounded by her loving family. She was born on May 23, 1924 in Runge, Texas to Florencio and Julia Vargas. Through her membership at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, Antonia was involved with the Guadalupanas and was a Eucharistic Minister. She loved baking, especially brownies and homemade macaroni and cheese. Antonia was a foster grandparent at Deaf Smith Elementary, the Richmond State School and the Juvenile Detention Center. She also enjoyed working out at the Y.M.C.A. in Richmond. This loving mother, grandmother, sister and friend will be missed. Antonia is preceded in death by her husband, Alejandro Aguirre; her parents, Florencio and Julia Vargas; her sons, Fidel and Roberto Aguirre; and her siblings, Ynocencia Aguirre, Juanita Flores and Florencio Vargas, Jr. Survivors include her children, Alejandro Aguirre, Jr. and wife, Mary Alice, Julie Zamora and husband, Jimmy, and Beatrice Trevino and husband, Dan; siblings, Alejandro Vargas and wife, Lillie, and Josephine Dalton and husband, Frank; grandchildren, Dina Aguirre, Marcos Aguirre, Aileen McGee and husband, Brandon, Greg Zamora and wife, Emily, Jessica Zamora and husband, Allen Duggan, Alison Wood and husband, Sky, Monica Trevino and Sammy Trevino; twelve great grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild; along with extended family and friends. The family would like to thank the various care givers and physicians that assisted with Antonia's treatment. Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. with a Rosary at 6:00 p.m., Monday, December 14, 2015 in the Chapel of Davis-Greenlawn Funeral Home in Rosenberg. The service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, December 15, 2015 in the Chapel of Davis-Greenlawn Funeral Home in Rosenberg with burial following at Greenlawn Memorial Park in Rosenberg.
