Anita Jane Foyt

Anita Jane Foyt, 60, of Rosenberg, passed away on June 9, 2015 at St. Luke's Hospital in Houston. She was born on August 11, 1954 in Houston to Arthur C. and Lydia Turicchi Mahlmann and was a member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Rosenberg. She was an avid reader and enjoyed knitting. Anita loved traveling; she has visited nearly every state, has traveled abroad to many countries, and loved the beach. She was also a teacher for over 25 years, and was known for her energy and love of life. This loving wife, mother, Nonna, daughter, sister and friend will truly be missed. Preceding her in death is her father, Arthur C. Mahlmann. Anita is survived by her husband of 35 years, Don Foyt; mother, Lydia Mahlmann; son, Christopher Foyt; daughter, Rebecca Foyt Berend and husband, Matthew; grandchildren, Julia, Jillian and Jenna Berend, who loved their Nonna so much; siblings, Donald Mahlmann, Dr. Lee Mahlmann and wife, Laurie, Judy Parsons and husband, Steve, Rita Herne and husband, John, and Marla Clarkson and husband, Todd; along with numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews, extended family and a host of friends. Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m., on Friday, June 12, 2015 at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, 1416 George Street in Rosenberg, Texas. A rosary will be recited at 6:00 p.m. A Mass celebrating Anita's life will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, June 13, 2015 at Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Rosenberg with Fr. William D. Bartniski officiating. Pallbearers will include Paul Parsons, Chad Mahlmann, Kevin Herne, Kyle Clarkson, Keith Clarkson, and Todd Clarkson. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Anita's name to the St. Luke's Foundation or to M.D. Anderson Cancer Center.
