Andrea Dubois Jones

Andrea Dubois Jones, 70 went home to be with the Lord on Monday, January 15, 2023, in Katy, Texas. She was born March 26, 1952, in Cookeville, Tennessee to Jennings Bryan Dubois Jr. and Dorothy Evelyn Grizzard Dubois. Her love for her family was unwavering. She was a devoted wife to her husband, Mack, for over 48 years. She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend and was known for her love, compassion, and wise counsel. Andrea was called to be a missionary at the age of 18 and she lived out that calling fervently her entire life. Whether in her home, on the mission field in Brazil, or in her community she was a witness to boundless love of God. Andrea served alongside her husband as a missionary in Brazil with the International Mission Board. Later, she was a pastor’s wife at Wooster Baptist Church in Baytown Texas. She was also a marriage and family counselor at Family Services of Greater Houston. She was a faithful member of Grand Parkway Baptist Church where her calling to missions continued as she sought to be a witness and a blessing to the members of her community and discipleship groups. Andrea prayed daily for her family and believed that God would fulfill his promise that her entire household would know him as their Lord and Savior. She leaves behind her husband of 48 years, Mack Jones, daughter, Amy Hartmann and husband Michael, son, Bryan Jones and wife Alizia, brother, John Dubois, aunt, Darlene Dyer, 10 grandchildren; Rhett Wallace, Sarah Jones, Zackary Wallace, Christa Amaya, Christian Hartmann, Emily Jones, Isabella Hartmann, Mia Amaya, Sophia Jones, Nicholas Hartmann, 3 great grandchildren, Kennedy Martinez, Jayden Wallace and Liam Martinez along with a host of other loving family members and friends. Those who are left behind rejoice in the knowledge that she is in the presence of Jesus who she loved with all her heart. After a private visitation and burial, a memorial service will be held at 1:30 PM on Monday January 23, 2023 at Grand Parkway Baptist Church located at 12000 FM 1464, Richmond, TX 77407, with Pastor Neil McClendon officiating.
