Alma Gloria Perez

Alma Gloria Perez Balboa, age 76, went to be with the Lord on January 22, 2021. She is preceded in death by her husband Mario Oscar Perez Garcia, her second husband, Raul Hernandez Contreras, her son Mayito Perez, her parents Jesus and Delfina Balboa, two brothers Eloy and Jesse Balboa, and many more family members. She is survived by her children, Hector Perez, Mario Perez, Monica Perez, Mariannela Perez, her bonus children Raul Hernandez and Isela Schneider, her two daughters-in-law, nine grandchildren, and their spouses, seven great-grandchildren, her siblings Otila Fessler, Maria Vicinaiz, Rafael Balboa, their spouses, and her many nieces and nephews. Alma was a talented artist creating extravagant cakes, flower arrangements, original holiday wreaths, and so much crafting. Alma loved to cook for her family, especially during the Christmas holidays with her "family famous" chicharones, menudo, enchiladas, and gorditas de azucar. Alma's heart was full of love for her family and friends. She was always looking to help those in need and share her blessings. Alma had an awesome sense of humor and added spice to life by flirting with her doctors and nurses when she wasn't giving them instructions on her care. Alma always had a "dicho" for any occasion that either made your smile or blush. Alma had health issues for the last six years of her life, but she was a fighter. Those who knew her witnessed that she would not let anyone or any impairment bring her down. Time and time again, she defied the odds and kept fighting to be with her loved ones until the Lord called her home. Alma was a woman of strong faith and was a living example of a Proverbs 31 woman: She is clothed with strength and dignity; she can laugh at the days to come. She speaks with wisdom, and faithful instruction is on her tongue. She watches over the affairs of her household and does not eat the bread of idleness. We will miss all these things about Alma, but mostly we will forever miss our mom, sister, aunt, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend. Public Viewing: 12:00 PM - 1:30 PM Private Viewing: 1:30 - 2:00 PM Private Service: 2:00 - 4:00 PM Her wishes are cremation, so no burial will follow. Due to COVID restrictions, the number of people allowed in the building is limited. However, people can rotate in and out when the limit is reached. Masks are required to be properly worn by all.
