Wayne Allen Glemser, 69, of Richmond passed away on Wednesday, September 1, 2021. Wayne, son of Harry Glemser and Roseann Laird, was born in Camden, New Jersey. After completing his education, Wayne served in the Army reserves. He moved to Houston, Texas and made his home there with his husband, Arthur Gibson, for the last 40+ years. Wayne enjoyed a long, successful career in the hotel industry and as a realtor. He loved to plan large corporate and social events. Wayne was extremely creative and his events were spectacular. He coordinated memorable events for several presidents, royal families, celebrities, and numerous charitable organizations. Wayne also loved to cook and bake Italian food. He was never happier than when he was entertaining and feeding a house full of family and friends. Wayne was larger than life, loved to entertain, share humorous stories and people were naturally drawn to his outgoing personality. He also loved to travel and was fortunate to visit many beautiful countries. In his downtime, he loved to sun bath by his pool. Wayne was extremely passionate about rescuing animals and shared his life with numerous puppies and kitties who were his babies. Wayne was preceded in death by his parents, Harry and Roseann; mother-in-law, Arlene Gibson; brother, David; brothers-in-law, Leon Gibson Jr., and John Drown. Those left to cherish his memory are his husband, Arthur Gibson; his siblings, Harry Glemser, John Glemser, Beverly Tussey, Corine Angelini Frame, Chris Glemser, Carl Glemser, and Dan Glemser; sister-in-law, Laurie Drown; brother-in-law, Tom Gibson; and fur babies; Bella May, Teddy Bear, Molly Elizabeth, Gray Kitty and Sassy Cat. Memorial Services will be held this Saturday, September, 11, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at Davis-Greenlawn Funeral Home, 3900 B. F. Terry Blvd., Rosenberg, Texas. Visitation will be held beginning , at 10:00 a.m., one hour prior to the memorial service. The memorial service will also be live streamed and information is available on the funeral home website. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Citizens for Animal Protection (CAPS), 17555 Katy Frwy., Houston, Texas 77094.
