Thomas Joseph Petrosewicz

Thomas (“Tom”) Joseph Petrosewicz, 86, of Sugar Land, Texas died peacefully on May 20, 2022 surrounded by his loved ones. He was born on July 23, 1935 in Brooklyn, New York to Matthew and Margaret Petrosewicz. He was a beloved father and grandfather, avid golfer, dog lover, baseball enthusiast, karaoke singer (Frank Sinatra), who was very proud of his Brooklyn, New York roots and his Polish heritage. Tom took his family to live in many places including Anderson, South Carolina; Kalamazoo, Michigan, Cleveland, Ohio, Mansfield, Ohio and finally to Sugar Land, Texas in 1984 as he pursued various executive positions for manufacturing companies, primarily in the floor care industry. In 2002, Tom was inducted into the Vacuum Industry Hall of Fame for his contributions to the industry and for establishing a college scholarship charity program to allow students to pursue their dreams of a college education. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife of 45 years, Jane Petrosewicz. Survivors include sons, Thomas James Petrosewicz and wife, Norma of Richmond, Texas, Dean Petrosewicz of Rosenberg, Texas, and Gregory Petrosewicz of Point Venture, Texas; and grandchildren, Danielle Petrosewicz and Thomas (TJ) Petrosewicz. Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m., with a Rosary at 7:00 p.m., Thursday, May 26, 2022 in the Chapel of Davis-Greenlawn Funeral Home in Rosenberg. The funeral mass will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m., Friday, May 27, 2022 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Richmond with Fr. Eric Pite and Fr. Joseph Ho officiating. Pallbearers will include sons Tom and Dean Petrosewicz, grandson TJ Petrosewicz, granddaughter Danielle Petrosewicz, close friends Larry Hightower and Kirk Wilson and honorary pall bearer, Greg Petrosewicz.
