Roy Cortez, 66, of Richmond, Texas passed away on November 16, 2021 in Sugar Land, Texas. He was born on February 13, 1955 in Richmond, Texas to Ascension and Susana (Pena) Cortez. Roy enjoyed travelling and sight-seeing on his Motorcycle on back country roads. This loving husband, father, and friend will be missed. In addition to his parents, Roy is preceded in death by his siblings, Clara Gonzalez and Ruben Cortez. Survivors include his wife, Lucinda (Flores) Cortez; daughter, Roxann Cortez (Buddy Torres); stepchildren, Rosalinda Trevino, Felesita Villarreal (Lee Weisheimer), Elizabeth Hernandez (Frank Hernandez), Pedro Villarreal, Denise Villarreal and Anthony Villarreal (Daniella Villarreal); siblings, Sally Gaytan (Pablo Gaytan), Jimmy Cortez (Antoinette Cortez), and Rachel Martinez; sister-in-law, Mary Cortez; along with extended family and friends. Visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m., Monday, November 22, 2021 in the Chapel of Davis-Greenlawn Funeral Home in Rosenberg.
