On Friday, August 21, 2020, Marjorie Prihoda, a loving wife, mother and grandmother passed away at age 82. Marjorie was born on August 8, 1938 in Beasley, Texas to Joe and Leona Vincik. She met the love of her life, Edward at a dance and the couple wed on June 6, 1958 and were happily married for 60 years. The high school sweethearts raised five children, Kenny, Gary, Sharon, Mark and Dana, resided in Rosenberg and were members of Holy Rosary Catholic Church. Marjorie graduated from Lamar High School and worked as a legal secretary for several years. She was a member of Catholic Daughters and KJZT. Marjorie loved to cook, garden and dance, but her greatest joy was spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She and Edward never missed any of their grandchildren’s events, from sports games to dance recitals and birthday parties, even the occasional pickup from school. Rain or shine, they were always there, nothing could keep them away from celebrating with their family. Marjorie had a loving,caring heart and will always be remembered by all that knew and loved her. Marjorie is preceded in death by her beloved husband Edward, son Gary and daughter-in-law Liz, parents Joe and Leona, brother Ronnie, brother-in-law Frank and grandparents. She is survived by her children Kenny and Diana Prihoda, Sharon and Ken Itzen, Mark Prihoda, Dana and James Murphy. Grandchildren Amanda and James Brown, Heather and Chance Kansteiner, Megan and Cameron Pyle, Tyler and Alex Prihoda, Kirstie and Michael Skiba, Hunter Itzen, Natalie Murphy, and Tanner Prihoda. Great Grandchildren Jimi, Ashton, Colten, Kinsley, Bayleigh, Ryder, Madelynn, Caiden, Greyson and Elizabeth. Sister Betty David and brother Leonard and Wife Margita Vincik; along with numerous nieces and nephews. Marjorie would spend the last year of life at Sunrise Senior Assistant Living in Katy. She enjoyed the weekly outings, playing Bingo and socializing with the other residents. The family would like to thank the wonderful staff and caregivers at Sunrise for always taking care of her and making her feel special. Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. with a Rosary at 7:00 p.m., Monday, August 31, 2020 in the Chapel of Davis-Greenlawn Funeral Home in Rosenberg. The funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, September 1, 2020 at Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Rosenberg. Burial to follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park in Rosenberg.
