    Justin Scott Johnson

    June 6, 1986 - January 28, 2022

    Justin Scott Johnson was born in Houston Texas on June 6,1986. Son of Scott Johnson and Carol Mayfield. Justin spent most of his youth playing sports. As a young adult Justin joined the United States Marine Corps, with his best friend Rayson Beckner. Justin was Honorably discharged from the United Stated Marine Corps on October 24,2010. Justin then spent time as private security with Black Water/Academy in the Middle East. Upon his return Justin entered the Houston Fire Academy and then Joined the Houston Fire Department in 2014. Shortly after that Justin became a member of the Pecan Grove Volunteer Fire Department as a paid professional firefighter. Justin had a passion for the outdoors, and hunting. Justin was always an incredible artist, and enjoyed the creative process. Justin enjoyed working with his hands, especially doing home improvement projects. Justin was a life member of the Ft bend Co fair, and was awarded several accommodations during his time in the Marine Corps. Justin Johnson is survived by his mother Carol Mayfield and her husband Crawford, Father Scott Johnson and his wife Renee, sister Janna Krejci and Husband Trey, Brother Jeb Johnson, stepsister Jordan Svajda stepbrother Jeffery Svajda, Step bother Josh Mayfield, stepsister Jennifer Mayfield. His Niece McKenna Krejci and Nephews Julian Svajda, McKall “Gus” Krejci, Cody, Case, and Cooper Mayfield. Uncle Jeff Johnson, Aunt Danielle (Jeff) Kreusch, Aunt Renee (Jeff) Cory, Karen Kiesling, Caylee (Keith) Warnke with Numerous Great aunts and Uncles. Also, his amazing friends Rayson Beckner, Patrick Duffey, Forrest McGowan, Kyle MacLeod, Brett Glasscock, Cody Bennetsen, Douglas Rain, and Chris Canada Justin was Proceeded in Death by his Grandparents Terrell Johnson, Panama and Laverne Shiflett. Uncles Marvin Shiflett, Jimmy Shiflett, Carey Johnson and Paul Shiflett. The family wishes to share their sincere thanks and gratitude to the Houston Fire Department, Pecan Grove Fire department, the United Stated Marine Corps, and the Katy VFW for their support during this difficult time. Flowers, or donations in Justin’s name made be made to the Semper Fi Foundation, or the Pecan Grove Volunteer Fire Department will be welcomed.
