To know Frank was to love him. He was a loving, devoted husband, father, and grandfather. He loved his family with his whole heart. He greeted everyone with a huge smile and a sparkle in his eye. He always had a joke to share with anyone that was around to listen. He was kind, humorous, generous, and a follower of Christ. He was a source of light in the world. Frank was born on May 11,1932 in Camden, New Jersey to Anthony and Esther Rizzuto. He was raised on the family farm by his parents, his uncle, Joe Rizzuto, and his grandparents, Frank and Mickelina Rizzuto from Calabria, Italy. His family taught him the value of hard work. He worked hard at everything he did in his life including raising his family, playing football, owning Frank's Motor Parts, and being a leader in his church. He was a devoted family man that played endless hours with his sons in the yard and taught them everything from how to garden, play football, ride a horse and how to treat others. He was also a loving, devoted husband and was married to the love of his life, Mickey, for 71 years. They would have been married 72 years this week on Thursday, May 12th. One of Frank’s favorite places to be was behind the counter at Frank's Motor Parts working with his sons and talking and laughing with customers. He loved people and people loved him back. He was an elder in the church and helped to spread God’s word to many. Frank was most at home when he was outside. He loved being on the water and boating and fishing were some of his passions. He passed this love of the water and the outdoors to his family and it has created a lasting legacy. If you wanted to find Frank, and he was not in the house, you could find him outside tending to his fruit trees, feeding the stray cat, or cutting the trees well into his 80s. He was a lover of life, people, and adventure and that showed in everything that he did. Frank “Poppy” was a kind, generous, loving, charismatic man that will be greatly missed by his family. He will always be in our hearts and his legacy will carry on forever in his family.
