Frank Louis Prihoda

Frank Louis Prihoda of Rosenberg, TX, passed away peacefully on 8/17/2021 at the age of 90. Frank was born on May 18, 1931 in Damon, Texas. He was preceded in death by his infant son David; his parents, Vinc and Amalie (Dirba) Prihoda; brothers: Bill Prihoda, Jerry Prihoda, Emil Prihoda, Sr., Vinc Prihoda, Jr.,Eddie Prihoda, Sr and Johnny Prihoda, Sr..; and his sisters: Lillian Prihoda Miculek, Ellie Prihoda Havlik, Bettie Prihoda Rab, Marie Prihoda Svoboda and Vlasta “Pat” Prihoda Dines. He is survived by his son, Michael Prihoda, and by numerous nieces, nephews and extended family members. Frank served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War from March 20, 1952 through December 9, 1953. After he returned to civilian life, he enjoyed his career with Texas Department of Transportation for 27 years until he retired in 1993. Frank was a happy man who enjoyed life and his family very much. His favorite hobbies were gardening and keeping his yard in perfect condition. He was a faithful member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church and KJT Society #90. He was an outstanding father, brother, and uncle. His family wishes to thank many people for their consideration during Frank’s final days on this earth, including Choice Hospice Care (especially nurses Marylene, Cecilia, and Femi for their compassionate care) and to his niece, Louise Prihoda for her generosity and valuable assistance. And special thanks are extended to his sister-in-law Linda Pavlicek and to his niece Angela Pavlicek Morris for their kind and generous support at all times. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, August 25, 2021 at 10:00 A.M. at Holy Rosary Catholic Church Parish Hall with burial to follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park. Visitation will be Tuesday evening, August 24, 2021 from 4-8 P.M. with a Rosary at 7:00 P.M. in the Chapel at Davis Greenlawn Funeral Home.
