    Francis "Frank" Joseph Peters

    December 15, 1940 - October 24, 2021

Sunday morning, October 24, 2021, Francis “Frank“ Joseph Peters entered the gates of heaven to be with his Lord and Savior while at his home in Richmond, Texas. Frank, 80, was born on December 15, 1940 in Pocatello, Idaho to Joe and Leola Peters. Frank married his most loving companion, Mary Kay (Wagner), on January 5, 1974. Together, they enjoyed life to the fullest and were each other’s number one fans. They spent their 48 years traveling, raising kids, and sharing the love of Jesus wherever they went. Frank attended Palmer Chiropractic College in Davenport, Iowa and graduated with a Doctorate of Chiropractic Degree from Texas Chiropractic College in 1970. For 45 years in his Amarillo practice, Frank was very active as a chiropractor, using his hands to serve, help, and pray over his patients. He and his family were members of Trinity Fellowship Church in Amarillo from its beginning, and recently became part of the Sugar Land Bible Church family after moving to Richmond, Texas in 2020 to be closer to their children and grandchildren. Frank gave God the glory in everything he did. He was active in his church, Gideon’s, and served as past president and various positions in Full Gospel Businessmen’s Fellowship International. If you had a conversation with Frank, you knew he loved Jesus, his family, and his profession. He shared his testimony with just about everyone - every waiter, grocery store clerk, and if you were lucky enough to be seated next to him on a plane, you knew the Lord by the end of your flight. He never met a stranger and his love for others was endless, with a heart for those in need. He was a loving father and grandfather, making each child feel like they were his number one. Frank and Mary Kay loved entertaining at “the ranch" in Canyon. He spent many years caring for his horses, working outside, and preparing for the next party, bonfire, or holiday celebration. He was a big kid at heart with a big goofy personality, whose goal was to make you laugh. Frank is survived by his wife Mary Kay, and his children Rick and Kris Peters of Houston, Mike and Dana Peters of The Colony, Missy and Mel Smith of Canyon, Darrin and Sarah Peters of Rosenberg, and Megan and Lance McClintock of Houston and his grandchildren, Alex Peters and fiancée Kalli Edwards, Caroline Peters, Sam Peters, Kelsey Peters, Casey Peters, Tyler and Macy White, Tanner White, Cole White, Macy Peters, Kate Peters, Ben Peters, Maddie McClintock, Abby McClintock, and Luke McClintock. Frank was to be a great grandpa in February of 2022. He is survived by his siblings, Judy Swirzynski, Danny and Pam Peters, Rick Peters, Mark and Linda Peters, sister-in-law Gerri Peters, and brother-in-law Fred Bubeck. He loved his dog, “Bear”. Frank is preceded in death by his parents, his siblings Mary Jo Monroe, Terry Peters, Susan Bubeck, and his parent-in-laws Lester and Viola Wagner, and brother-in-laws Ronnie Wagner, Cliff Swirzynski, and Allen Monroe. Visitation will be held at 12:00 p.m. until service time at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, November 5, 2021 in the Chapel of Davis Greenlawn Funeral Home in Rosenberg, TX. Services will be live streamed. A celebration of life will be held in the sanctuary of Trinity Fellowship Church in Amarillo, TX on Saturday, November 20, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. Thank you Jesus for healing our beloved Frank and thank you to our friends who have loved Frank and our family throughout his beautiful life. In lieu of flowers please make donations to Youth with a Mission and Texas Right to Life.
