Corwin B. Clanton, fondly known as “Chip”, 64, of Sugar Land, Texas passed away on January 30, 2022 in Sugar Land. He was born on April 29, 1957 in Sinton, Texas to Reid F. and Betty G. (Carr) Clanton. His hobbies included hunting, golfing and working on his farm near Bedias, Texas. This loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, son and friend will truly be missed. Chip is preceded in death by his mother, Betty and his brother, Chris. Survivors include his wife of 46 years, Karen J. (Jackson) Clanton; son, Barrett A. Clanton (wife Sarah); daughter, Nicole D. Rector; siblings, Chad Clanton (wife Debbie), Colby Clanton (wife Maureen), and Derricka “Chula” Dendy (husband Bobby); grandchildren, Jetta G. & Phineas E. Clanton and Jackson D. & Kendyl B. Rector; father, Reid F. Clanton; along with numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and a host of friends.
