    Arturo Cisneros

    October 31, 1938 - July 8, 2021

    Arturo Cisneros, 82, passed away Thursday, July 8, 2021 in Houston, Texas. He was born to Francisco and Amada Cisneros on October 31, 1938 in Yorktown, Texas. He was preceded in death and now reunited in His presence with his wife Mary Dolores Cisneros, daughter Yolanda Cisneros, sisters Linda Torres and Molly Garza, and parents Francisco and Amada Cisneros. Arturo is survived by his sons Frank, Arthur, Alfredo, Daniel, and John; daughters Dianne Chudej and Sylvia Velasquez. He was blessed with 14 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren. Arturo was a resident of Stafford, Texas for 45 years. Arturo loved to dance. This led to a chance encounter with Mary, the woman who would eventually become his wife. The unconditional love between the two of them allowed their marriage to flourish for 57 years. He was loving husband, father, and worked to provide for his family without a single complaint. Arturo was a master welder with Carpenter & Mill Wrights of Houston and traveled for many years. He worked on various buildings in Galveston, Dallas, Austin, Virginia, Nevada, and Washington DC. Arturo loved card games, playing the lottery, Texas BBQ, music by Johnny Cash and James Brown. He enjoyed visits from his grandchildren and his cousins David Torres and Junior Acevedo. He always told his children, “Don’t wait until someone teaches you; pick up a book and teach yourself.” Visitation is on Thursday, July 15, 2021 from 4:00 PM – 8:00 PM, with a Rosary at 7:00 PM at Chapel of Davis-Greenlawn Funeral Home, 3900 B.F Terry Blvd., Hwy 59 @ FM 2218, Rosenberg, TX 77471. A funeral mass is scheduled for Friday, July 16, 2021, at 11:00 AM at Holy Family Catholic Church, 1510 Fifth Street Missouri City, TX US 77489 His final resting place will be at Davis Greenlawn Funeral Chapels & Cemeteries. 3900 B.F. Terry Blvd., Hwy 59 @ FM 2218, Rosenberg, TX 77471.
