William Charles Kassab

Funeral Mass for William Charles Kassab will be held at 10:00 A.M., Thursday, December 28, 2006 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Richmond. Father Don Schwarting will officiate the service. Visitation will be from 5:00 P.M. until 9:00 P.M., Wednesday, December 27, 2006 in the Chapel of Davis-Greenlawn Funeral Home in Rosenberg. Bill was born April 21, 1950 in Philadelpia, PA to William, Sr. and Regina Clauser Kassab. He passed away December 24, 2006 in Richmond, Texas. He is preceded in death by his father, William C. Kassab, Sr. and his brother, Mark Kassab. Bill is survived by his loving wife of 14 years, Julie Stange Kassab of Richmond; Son: Ryan Kassab; Daughters: Erin Kassab, and Jillian Kassab, all of Richmond; Mother: Regina Kassab; Sister: Lisa Thomas and husband, Bruce; Brothers: Dave Kassab and wife, Kim, Eric Kassab and wife, Angela, all of Philadelphia, PA; Former Wife: Diane Kassab of Houston; He is also survived by numerous other relatives and many friends. Bill graduated from St. James High School in Chester, PA in 1967 and went on to attend the University of Dayton and earned his Bachelors Degree form Villanova University in 1975. He had a long and successful career in the insurance business and started in that career with Connecticut General Life Insurance. In 1980 he joined Tarpey and Company in Houston as a producer. In 1985 he moved to Kelley-Rhodes Insurance where he became a stockholder and rose to the rank of Senior Vice President. In 1998 that company was sold and Bill moved to Brown and Brown and finally to Southern American Insurance Agency, Inc. Throughout his career as an independent insurance agent, Bill specialized in working with construction contractors. He was active in many insurance and construction trade associations and was a member of Houston Contractors Association for over 20 years. Bill was also on the Board of Directors of Houston Contractors Association for two years. Bill will be loved and missed by his family and friends.
