William Wade Dannhaus

With great sadness the family of William Wade Dannhausof Needville, Texas announces his passing after an unparalleled battle with illness that will serve as a tremendous legacy to the many lives he touched. Wade was at last called to his heavenly home on the morning of Thursday, November 29, 2018 at the age of 49 years with family and dear friends at his side. Wade will be forever be lovingly remembered by his two wonderful children, Christen Lynn Dannhaus-Terry and Gavin Lukas Dannhaus. It was purely of his love for them that he defied insurmountable odds of survival for so many years. Preceding him in death were his paternal grandparents, Arthur “Runt” Dannhaus and Tonnie Dannhaus and his maternal grandparents, Sid and Moira Ward. He is survived by his mother, Rebecca Anne Roberts; father, Kenneth “Butch” Dannhaus and wife, Dianna Dannhaus; Grandmother Johnny Dannhaus; brother, Loren “Bunk” Dannhaus, all of Needville. Other family includes nephews Cade, Cale and Tyler Dannhaus, James, Johnny and Jack Dennis and nieces Carlee and Ashlyn Klevens, son-in-law Trey Terry, numerous cousins, aunts, uncles and in-laws whom he loved so dearly and were instrumental in his life. Without exception, Wade would insist on recognition of his dearest friends Susan Born, Jim Fox, Ron Richardson, Donald Gray and Joe Lindsey, each of whom played significant roles in his life. The loyal friendship of his “Dream Team” was crucial to his success in both his professional and personal life and is certainly recognized as such. Susan Born, Dawnette Joines, Stanley Gibbs, Craig Hanlon, Charlie Lisenbee, Jim Oertel, Michael Jurecek, and Hector Sanchez among so many others were cherished without limits and will forever be included as family. Aside from his love for God and his family, Wade enjoyed an extensive network of friends. Although a man of very few words, and known for his powerful stature, solemn personality and dry humor, there was never any doubt on where he stood on anything. He was a trusted friend and ally to countless people both locally and throughout the oilfield industry where he devoted considerable dedication to his very admirable career of twenty-five-plus years with National Oilwell Varco. Words truly cannot express the void created by his passing. Wade set a profound example for those who were touched by him. He vowed early in his battle to never give up. He never gave up! A celebration of his life will be held Thursday, December 6, 2018 at 2:00 PM at Creekside Christian Fellowship with a reception to follow. Per his wishes, his ashes will be spread in a private ceremony at his beloved ranch in Harper, Texas.
