Valerie Edmond Atallah

Valerie E. Atallah, beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully June 3, 2026, surrounded by the love of her family. She was born on March 18, 1931, in Jerusalem, Palestine, to Tawfiq Stephen and Leonie Stiban Stephan. Valerie lived a life rooted in faith, family, and compassion. She was a devoted member of St. Laurence Catholic Church in Sugar Land, Texas, where she found strength in her faith and fellowship with her church community. Her warmth, generosity, and unwavering love for her family touched the lives of all who knew her. She is survived by her loving children: John Atala, Adelaide Ammar, Belinda Atallah Shamma, and Flavia Sirrieh. She is also survived by her cherished siblings: Maurice Stephan, Tony Stephan, and Soad Shihadeh. Valerie was a proud and devoted grandmother to George Shamma, Issa Ammar, Sophie Estevez, Jad Shamma, Rita Sharp, Hiba Pavlick, Rachel Ammar, Loretta Sirrieh, Sarah Atala, Kathryn Cano, John Sirrieh, and Edmond Atala. She took great joy in the accomplishments and happiness of her grandchildren and treasured every moment spent with them. She was preceded in death by her parents, Tawfiq Stephen and Leonie Stephan; her sister, Therese Boullata; her brother, Joseph Stephan; and her beloved husband, Edmond Atallah. Valerie will be remembered for her deep devotion to her family, her enduring faith, her kindness, and the grace with which she lived her life. Her legacy of love, strength, and perseverance will continue through the generations she leaves behind. Pallbearers will include: Issa Ammar, Emilio Estevez, John Sirrieh, Jonathan Pavlick, Andrew Sharp and Thomas Cano Though she will be deeply missed, Valerie's family finds comfort in the memories they shared and in the faith that she has entered into eternal rest with the Lord. Visitation will be held from 5:00p.m-8:00 p.m., Rosary and Vigil Services will begin at 6:30 p.m Monday, June 15th, 2026, in the Chapel of Davis-Greenlawn Funeral Home in Rosenberg. The funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday June 16, 2026 at St. Laurence Catholic Church in Sugarland Tx. Burial to follow at Davis Green Lawn Memorial Park in Rosenberg.
