Ted Charles Siwierka

Ted C. Siwierka, age 88, formerly of Lorain and Elyria, Ohio, and for the last 43 years a resident of Sugar Land, Texas, passed away peacefully at his home on August 8, 2026, surrounded by his loving family. Ted was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Carol M. (Skodney) Siwierka, with whom he shared a lifetime of love, faith, and devotion. The youngest of ten children, he was preceded in death by all his siblings. He is survived by his son, Michael J. Siwierka; his daughter, Michelle H. (Siwierka) Phillips, and son-in-law, William A. Phillips; his cherished grandchildren, Carlyn Phillips, Connor Phillips, Nicholas Siwierka, Christian (Chad) Johnson, Typhani Phillips, and Leighanne (Sean) Griffin; his great-grandchildren, Camron Johnson, Colton Johnson, and Christian Carroll; his great-great-grandson, Bastion; and his granddaughter-in-law, Angela (Terry) Phillips. He was preceded in death by his beloved grandsons, Terry L. Phillips and Jeffrey S. Phillips Ted leaves behind many beloved nieces, nephews, extended family members, and countless friends, all whose lives were touched by his kindness and generosity. A proud Army veteran, he lived a life defined by faith, family, friendship, and service to others. He never met a stranger and had a rare gift for turning brief encounters into lasting friendships. He was loved and respected for his kindness, outgoing nature, and ability to make everyone feel valued and appreciated. While residing in Lorain, Ted served as Assistant County Auditor. After moving to Texas in1983, he served as Assistant Chief Appraiser and Interim Chief Appraiser for Fort Bend County. A lifelong civic leader, he was active in local and national politics, supporting numerous candidates and causes. Ted was a lifetime member and officer of the United Polish Club of Lorain and belonged to several Polish heritage organizations. He enjoyed painting, meeting friends for dinner and drinks, exploring local businesses, cheering on the Houston Astros, and remaining active in St. Laurence Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus. His Catholic faith was a guiding force throughout his life and provided the foundation for the kindness, compassion, and generosity he shared with others.
