Suzette Russell

Suzette Russell (Braun), 68, of Richmond, Texas, passed away on April 22, 2026. She was born on January 6, 1958, in New Brighton, Pennsylvania, to her parents, Paul John Braun and Joanne Irvin Braun. Suzette dedicated over 25 years of her life to her profession as a registered nurse, where she compassionately cared for patients, including newborns in the neonatal ICU. In retirement, she embraced life fully—spending time listening to music with her husband Tom, cherishing her role as “Mimi” to her beloved grandchildren, and enjoying peaceful days at the beach. She had a creative spirit and kept her hands busy through her involvement in the Del Webb Needle Crafters Club, where she created crochet projects for friends, family, and charitable donations. She also enjoyed cross-stitching and knitting. Suzette’s servant heart led her to volunteer with YANA (You Are Not Alone) through the Fort Bend County Sheriff’s Office, where she supported elders in need throughout the community. Suzette is survived by her loving husband, Thomas G. Russell; her daughters, Julia Knezek (JD), Dr. Jennifer Werner (Matt), and Bethany Turner (Chris); her brother, Jay Braun (Rebecca), and their son, John; and her cherished grandchildren, Aiden Knezek, Carter Knezek, Joshua Werner, Charlotte Werner, Alexander Werner, and Gabriel Turner. She was preceded in death by her parents. A come and go visitation with the family will be held on May 30, 2026, from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. at the Del Webb Sweetgrass Lakehouse, 707 Del Webb Blvd, Richmond, TX 77469. A Celebration of Life service will follow at 3:00 p.m., with a reception afterward featuring some of Suzette’s favorites.
