Rujelio Vallejo Macias, Sr.

Rujelio Vallejo Macias, Sr., 73, passed away on August 16, 2012. Rujelio, known as "Roy" by his family and friends, was born in Simonton, Texas on May 14, 1939. After a childhood upbringing on the family ranch in Simonton, he worked for many years in the manufacturing industry until his retirement from Kranco Crane Services, Inc. in 2001. Roy was a devoted family man with a sharp, analytical mind. He possessed a natural ability to master any kind of task be it electrical, builder, plumber, welder, landscaper or gardener and always made time to help family, friends and neighbors who frequently called upon him with projects. He was also an avid sports fan, having managed his own local softball team at one point. He was an avid supporter of all of Houston's professional sports teams and attending one of the Houston Astros' 2005 World Series games was a high point for him. He will be deeply missed by the many who loved him. Roy was preceded in death by his parents, Francisco and Consuelo Macias of Simonton; brothers, Roberto, Lupe and Antonio Macias; sisters, Maria Macias Carranza and Marcella Macias Sandoval; and grandson, Kyle Davis Partida. Those left to cherish his memories are his devoted and loving wife of 55 years, Esperanza Macias; sons, Rujelio Macias, Jr. and Adam Macias and wife, Sandra Jasso Macias; daughters, Norma Macias Partida and husband, Mario Partida, Eva Macias Clark and husband, Benjamin Gregory Clark; grandchildren, Jason Macias and wife, Brenda Ayala Macias, Rujelio Macias III, Monica Rodriguez, Kristan Macias Williams and husband, Brady Williams, Gilbert R. Clark and wife, Jacqueline Mangel Clark, Catherine Ann Clark, Jonathon David Clark, Vanessa Renee Macias, Lauren Ashley Partida and Kaitlyn Paige Partida; nine great grandchildren; along with other relatives and many friends. Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., with a rosary being recited at 7:00 p.m., at Davis-Greenlawn Funeral Chapel in Rosenberg, on Monday, August 20, 2012. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, August 21, 2012 at Davis-Greenlawn Funeral Chapel in Rosenberg with interment following in Greenlawn Memorial Park in Rosenberg.
