Ruby D. Dutton

Ruby D. Dutton Long time resident of Orchard, Texas, Ruby D. Dutton went home to be with the Lord on August 9th, 2009 after a courageous battle with cancer. Born on Oct. 8, 1929 in Munday, Texas, she married Charles A. Dutton on October 4th, 1952. They moved to Orchard in 1957. She was a beautician for 43 years and in 1962 she opened up "Ruby's Beauty Shop" which she operated until she retired in 1995. They loved going fishing to San Luis Pass along with her sister and brother-in-law, Ellen and Albert Pavlock. She is preceded in death by her husband, Charles A. Dutton; parents, Jack W. and Ruby Viola Franklin; sisters, Joyce E. Vaughn and Helen Franklin; brothers, Herom and Thomas Franklin. She is survived by her daughters, Ruby Minks of Orchard, Lois Ann Dutton Neaton and husband, John of Port Huron, Michigan; son, Calton Bates and wife, Diane Bates; sister, Ellen Pavlock and husband, Albert of Orchard, sisters-in-law, Jesse Mills and husband, Ells of Port Huron Michigan, Betty Dutton of San Antonio; grandchildren, Cheryl Sue Garbs and husband Gary, of East Bernard, Crystal Lynn Robson and husband, Albert of Needville, Craig Alan Bates and wife, Shonna of Richmond, Angela Johnson and husband, Troy of Kalamazoo Michigan; seven great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews who loved her very much. Visitation will be held from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M., Thursday, August 13, 2009 in the Chapel of Davis-Greenlawn Funeral Home in Rosenberg. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M., Friday, August 14, 2009 in the Chapel of Davis-Greenlawn Funeral Home with Pastor R.O. Murray officiating. Interment will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park in Rosenberg. Pallbearers will include Rodney Pavlock, David Pavlock, Randy Pavlock, Craig Bates, Albert Robson and Gary Garbs.
