Ray Alan Cloudt

Ray Alan Cloudt, 58, of Needville, Texas passed away on July 16, 2018 at his home surrounded by his family. He was born on April 2, 1960 in Richmond, Texas to Melvin Ray Cloudt and Sadie Jane (Elolf) Cloudt. He retired as a Heavy Equipment Operator with Fort Bend County after 29 years of service. Most recently he was employed with BF Construction and then with Needville ISD as a bus driver. His hobbies included riding his motorcycle, fishing, camping and kayaking. He was a true outdoorsman. This loving son, husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend will be missed. Ray is preceded in death by his mother, Sadie Jane Cloudt; his brother, George Van Cloudt; inlaws, William and Patricia Lucky and brother-in-law, Mark Lucky; along with his maternal and paternal grandparents. Survivors include his wife of 31 years, Lu Beth Lucky Cloudt; father, Melvin Ray Cloudt; children, Gayla Blanche Cloudt (Galen Falgout), Wade Alan Cloudt (April Lynn Cloudt), and Dalton Oskar Cloudt (Taylor Amos); siblings, James Ray Cloudt (Maria Cloudt) and Carl Ray Cloudt (Hannah Cloudt); grandchildren, Noah Alan and Ezekiel Philip Cloudt; nieces & nephews, Jamie Cloudt, David Cloudt, Ivan Cloudt, Aubrey Honer (Brad Honer), Brinley Lucky, Drifter Lucky, Lawson Lucky and Gavin Lucky; brothers and sisters in law, Lee Ann Lucky, Luke Lucky (Terri Lucky), and Robert Lucky (Lisa Black); great niece, Elliott Honer; aunt and uncle, Ruby and Tom Fondren; along with extended family and friends. Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. until service time at 12:00 p.m., on Saturday, July 21, 2018, in the Chapel of Davis-Greenlawn Funeral Home in Rosenberg. Burial to follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park in Rosenberg. Pastor Shawn Welling will officiate the services.
