Nancy L. (Krachala) Landry

On Tuesday, March 28, 2017, Nancy Lee Landry, 72 of Needville, Texas, passed away, leaving behind countless stories and memories for her family and loved ones to cherish forever. She was born on April 15, 1944 in Sugar Land, Texas to Frank and Millie (Syblik) Krachala. Nancy graduated from Lamar High School in 1962. She soon met her husband, Don and started a family. Nancy’s favorite activities included dancing; playing cards and bunco with friends; and spending time with her family, neighbors and many friends. For 22 years, Nancy worked in the administration office for N.I.S.D. responsible for payroll and insurance among various other duties. Nancy was a member of St. Michael's Catholic Church in Needville. She was active with the Alter Society, served as a sacristan preparing for mass, and sat Adoration chapel often. Nancy was always eager to help others. She volunteered with the PTA, March of Dimes, American Cancer Society and many church functions, including bingo at St. Michael’s annual bazaar. She was very proud of her 5 grandchildren and enjoyed spending time with them. Nancy was a loving daughter, niece, sister, cousin, wife, mother, grandmother, aunt and friend. She will be greatly missed. Nancy is preceded in death by her parents. Survivors include her husband of over 51 years, Don Landry; son, Scott Landry; son, Chad Landry and wife, Karen; daughter, Tricia Fairchild and husband, Shannon; grandchildren, Major and Madalynn Landry, and Glory, Denver and Grace Fairchild; siblings, Ida Lee Porter, Emmett Krachala and wife, Mary Helen; brother-in-law, Ronnie Landry and wife, Norma; along with an extended family of cousins, nieces, nephews and many close friends. Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m., with a Rosary at 7:00 p.m., on Thursday, March 30, 2017 in the Chapel of Davis-Greenlawn Funeral Home in Rosenberg. The funeral mass will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, March 31, 2017, at St. Michael's Catholic Church in Needville with burial following at Greenlawn Memorial Park in Rosenberg.
