Mildred Ann Oberhoff

A funeral mass for Mildred Ann Myska Oberhoff, 80 of Needville will be held at 10:00 A.M. Wednesday, March 19, 2014 at St. Michael's Catholic Church in Needville with Fr. Ramsey officiating. Interment will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park in Rosenberg. Visitation will be held from 5 to 8 P.M., on Tuesday, March 18, 2014 at St. Michael's Catholic Church in Needville. A rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. Mildred was born on July 6, 1933 in Beasley, Texas to Emil and Mary Sablatura Myska. She was a member of St. Michael's Catholic Church and the Altar Society. She also held memberships with the American Legion Post #350 Ladies Auxiliary and the Needville Fire Department Auxiliary. Mildred was proud of her roots and was a member of the Czech Heritage Society. She married Wesley F. Oberhoff on November 25, 1951 in Beasley. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and friend who will be deeply missed. She passed away on March 14, 2014 at her home surrounded by her family. Mildred is preceded in death by her parents; her brother, Robert Myska, her brother-in-law, Leonard Oberhoff, and her nephew Charles Oberhoff. Mildred is survived by her husband of 62 years, Wesley F. Oberhoff; daughters, Kathy Bartman and husband, Phil, and Cindy Hartlage and husband, Carson; grandchildren, Jennifer Gorka and fiancée, Ronnie Yackel, Kristin Gorka and boyfriend, Dustin Richard, Matthew Gorka, Abby Kettler and husband, Paul; Katie Hartlage and fiancée, Tim Sabrsula, and Will Hartlage; great-grandchild, Cooper Michael Kettler; sisters-in-law, Loretta Myska and Anna Henrichson and husband Rick; along with other family members and friends. The family wished to express their gratitude towards Mildred's caregivers, Anita and Mauricio Lopez for their care and support during Mildred's illness. Also special thanks to Silverado Hospice. Pallbearers will include Mildred's grandsons and grandsons-in-law. Cooper Kettler will be an honorary pallbearer. For those wishing memorials may be made in Mildred's name to the American Legion Post #350 Auxiliary Scholarship Fund.
