Funeral services for Mary Pasteka Novak, 91, of Needville, Texas will be held at 10:00 A.M., Wednesday, January 10, 2007 at St. Michaels Catholic Church in Needville. Interment will follow at St. Michaels Cemetery Foster School Road in Needville, Texas. Visitation will be held from 5:00-9:00 P.M., with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 P.M., Tuesday, January 9, 2007 at the Davis Chapel in Needville. Mary was born September 3, 1915 in Cameron, Texas to Joseph Clement and Mary Kostiha Pasteka. She passed away January 7, 2007 in Rosenberg, Texas. She is preceded in death by her husband, Alfonse M. Novak; parents, Joseph and Mary Pasteka; sister, Annie Dybala; brothers, Adolph, Frank, John and George Pasteka. Mary is survived by: Brother: Cyril Pasteka and wife, Agnes of Needville; Nieces and nephews: Barbara Baca and husband, Daniel of Needville, Carol Koeppen and husband, Gilbert of Needville, Dorothy Warren and husband, Paul of Rosenberg, Nancy Small and husband, Danny of Pearland, Patty Svec and husband, John of Sealy, Mike Pasteka and wife, Mary of Needville, Peggy Mund and husband, Page of Needville, Ann Sadtler and husband, David of Pearland, Marie Carpenter and husband, Scott of Sugar Land, John Pasteka and wife, Judy of Needville, James Pasteka and wife, Nancy of Needville, Sandy Burns and husband, Kenneth of Henderson, Danny, Milton, and Clinton Pasteka all of Mexia, Laura and Farron Pasteka of Georgia, Chris, Donna, Barton and Patrick Pasteka all of Arkansas; Sisters-in-law: Pearl Pasteka of Needville, Mildred Pasteka of Needville, Lillie Smith of Hawkins; along with numerous other family and friends.
