Mary Josie Marie Hajdik

Marie Paukrt Hajdik beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother passed away peacefully on Monday, June 9, 2008. Marie was born on July 2, 1920 in Burleson County to Joseph and Francis Bayer Paukrt. She was preceded in death by her husband of 51 years, Johnny; sons, Christopher and John Jerry Hajdik, Jr.; sister, Adell Rose Mikula and brothers, George, Erwin and Willie Paukert. She is survived by her daughters, Janey Schumacher and husband, Dean, Sherry Bergen and husband, Bill, and Cathy Stone; son, Kenneth Hajdik and wife, Merry Sue; grandchildren, Michelle Trevino and husband, Hernan, Shawn Sydlik and husband, Rodney, Vickie Patton and husband, Paul, Kristie Baker and husband, Paul, Shelly Hajdik, Melissa Stone, Kim Stone, Amber Hairston and husband, Mike, Eric Stone, Shannon Bedo and husband, Andrew, William Hajdik and wife, Stacy, Ryan Hajdik and wife, Nina; great grandchildren, Landon, Braden and Chad Trevino, Colton and Kiersten Sydlik, Ashlyn Patton and Nicholas Stone; sister-in-law, Mae Paukert and Elizabeth Paukert; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and many other relatives and friends. We are all better to have known her. A Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted at 10:30 A. M., Friday, June 13, 2008 at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, 1416 George St. in Rosenberg. Rite of Interment will take place immediately following, via an escorted cortege at West Gethsemane Gardens in Rosenberg. Visitation will be held from 5:00 P. M. until 8:00 P. M., with a rosary to be recited at 7:00 P. M., Thursday, June 12, 2008 in the Chapel of Davis-Greenlawn Funeral Home. Pallbearers will be Landon Trevino, Hernan Trevino, William Hajdik, Ryan Hajdik, Rodney Sydlik and Paul Baker. Honorary Pallbearers will be Mike Hairston and Eric Stone. The family would like to express their gratitude to the staff of Cambridge Health and Rehab and Silverado Hospice, for whom their special attention and loving care will always be remembered. In lieu of usual remembrances the family request that donations be made to Holy Rosary Church Vision Alive 2011 or Sacred Heart Church Building Fund in Richmond.
