Martha Stransky

A funeral mass for Martha A. Bujnoch Stransky, 99, of Needville, will be held at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, August 16, 2011 at St. Michael's Catholic Church with interment following at the St. Michael's Catholic Cemetery in Needville. Father Joseph Phan will officiate the service. Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., with a rosary at 7:00 p.m., Monday, August 15, 2011 at the Davis Chapel in Needville. Martha was born December 27, 1911 in Hallettsville to Frank and Mary Munsch Bujnoch. She was a long-time member of St. Michael's Catholic Church in Needville where she was involved with the Altar Society and the K.J.Z.T. Martha enjoyed quilting and shared many of her creations with her family and friends. She also enjoyed gardening and tending to her beautiful flowers. She passed away on August 13, 2011 at the S.P.J.S.T. Rest Home in Needville. Martha is preceded in death by her husband, Anton John Stransky; parents, Frank and Mary Bujnoch; son, John Anton Stransky; sons-in-law, Dennis Stavinoha and John Jardine; sisters, Ludmilla Bujnoch, Agnes Kaiser and Annie Satsky; and brothers, Julius, Rudolph, Benedict, Frank, Marcus and Alois Bujnoch. She is survived by her daughters, Mary Lou Jardine, Dorothy Stavinoha, and Kathy Sury and husband, Bobby; daughter-in-law, Dona Stransky; sisters, Mary Krischke and Josephine Leopold and husband, Andy; grandchildren, Shari Gustafson, Dean Stavinoha and wife, Stacey, Steven Stavinoha and wife, Stephanie, Rodney Sury, Lori Gaubatz, Craig Sury and wife, Gwynne, Stephen Stransky and wife, Shauna, and Beth Stransky and Christy Stransky; great-grandchildren, Laramie, Nicholas and Hallie Stavinoha; Colton and Tate Stavinoha, Wyatt and Wesley Gaubatz, Ethan, Owen and Austin Sury, and Sloan and Seth Stransky; along with numerous nieces, nephews, other family members and friends. Pallbearers will include Martha's son-in-law, Bobby Sury and her grandsons, Dean Stavinoha, Steven Stavinoha, Rodney Sury, Craig Sury and Stephen Stransky. Box 1417, El Campo, Texas 77437. The family would like to thank Father Joseph, Hospice and the employees of the S.P.J.S.T. Nursing Home, especially Angela and Sandy, for our mother's care.
