Lois Faith Miller

Funeral services for Lois Faith Miller, 70, of Needville, are scheduled for 11:30 A. M., Monday, December 1, 2008 at Immanuel United Church of Christ in Needville with Rev. Fred Banda officiating. Burial will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park. Visitation will be held from 5:00 P. M. until 9:00 P. M., Sunday, November 30, 2008 at Davis-Greenlawn Funeral Chapel in Rosenberg. Lois was born on November 30, 1937 in Rosenberg, Texas and soared with the angels on November 26, 2008 in Houston, Texas. She was a proud Blue Jay who graduated from Needville High School in 1956. She married the love of her life, Lelon Eugene Miller on August 31, 1957. Once a Blue Jay, she was always a Blue Jay. She even collected Blue Jays. She was a devoted employee of Needville Independent School District for 32 years. She retired from her position as Library Aide from Needville Elementary. She loved helping the Lil' Jays soar to greatness and has touched countless lives during her years at school. After retirement, she spent her days caring for her loving husband, Lelon. Many years were spent at their creek house in Sargent, Texas. She enjoyed cooking and caring for not only her family, but many who have wandered into her life. She was a "Mom" to many. It was never unusual for someone to want to know how Momma Miller was doing. She also enjoyed her Bunco Buddies and having lunch with the chicks of '56. Special times were spent with her brother and sister and their spouses traveling and hitting the casinos. She loved cooking family dinners and knew everyone's favorites. She would make sure to have something special just for you. Although she loved us all, her pride and extreme joys are her grandchildren, Melissa, Keith, Amanda and Jason, and her great-grandchildren, Bradley and Kaitlyn. She loved having them stay with her. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lelon Eugene Miller; mother, Esther Kramer Brinkmeyer; father, Melvin William Brinkmeyer; brother in law, Bobby Lee Miller, sister-in-law, Dixie Miller and brother-in-law, John Ralston. She is survived by: Sons: Randy Miller and wife, Kelly, of Sugar Land, Russell Miller of Houston; Daughter: Cindy Schulze and husband, Waymond, of Needville; Grandchildren: Melissa Kostelnik and husband, Keith, of Needville, Amanda Schulze of Sugar Land, Jason Miller of Sugar Land; Great Grandchildren: Bradley and Kaitlyn Kostelnik of Needville; Brother: Melvin Butch Brinkmeyer and wife, Ruth, of Houston; Sister: Melba Ralston of Houston; And many loving aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and friends. Serving as pallbearers are Mike Brinkmeyer, Chris Brinkmeyer, Ricky Sowell, Brent Ralston, Mike Miller, David Miller and Rich Lenz. Honorary pallbearers are James Reckaway, Alan Hannah, Brandon Brinkmeyer and all of her nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. The family would like to thank the offices and staff of Dr. Popatia, Dr. Parihk, Dr. Chau, Gentle Hands Home Health Care, Oak Bend Medical Center, and Memorial Hermann NTICU Center.
