Lino K. Sanchez, Sr.

Lino K. Sanchez, Sr., beloved husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather, met the angels on Wednesday, September 30, 2009. Lino was born July 6, 1933 in Berclair, Texas to Justo and Eulalia Koehler Sanchez. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 A.M., Monday, October 5, 2009 at Cornerstone Ministries in Richmond. Interment will follow at West Gethsemane Gardens in Rosenberg. Pastor Rudy Lopez will officiate the services. Visitation will be held from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. with a prayer service at 7:00 P.M., on Sunday, October 4, 2009 in the Chapel of Davis-Greenlawn Funeral Home in Rosenberg. Lino was a sweet, kind and loving man who exemplified the life and light of Christ everyday. He never met a stranger and praised God to the very end. Lino had a great love for his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren and never let them depart without an "I love you and God bless you". He had and avid love for music and played various instruments at church. He also enjoyed collecting rocks and coins. Lino is preceded in death by his parents, Justo and Eulalia Sanchez; sister, Anselma Ramirez and brother, Justo Sanchez, Jr. He is survived by his loving wife of nearly 54 years, Zoila Garcia Sanchez; children, Lino K. Sanchez, Jr. and wife, Sylvia, of Rosenberg, Rebecca Martinez and husband, Pete of Sugar Land, Linda Diane Sanchez and husband, Juan P. Charles III, of Richmond, Ernest Sanchez and wife, Yaneth, of Richmond; grandchildren, Lino Trey Sanchez, III and wife, Krystle, Anastasia Sanchez, Mateo Sanchez, Stephanie Godard and husband, Ray, Laura Martinez, Annalee Martinez, Noel Daniel Martinez, Samuel Martinez, Jim Martinez, Kahlor Charles, Kody Charles, Nicole Charles, Taylor Sanchez, Isai Sanchez, Caleb Sanchez and Elijah Sanchez; great grandchildren, Aubrey Sanchez, Ryan Martinez, Jim Martinez, Leighann Garza, Hannah Garza, Isaiah Garza and Amber Garza; brothers and sisters, Paula Resendez, Jesusa Coy and husband, Lupe, Teresa Gonzalez and husband, Ralph, Lazaro Sanchez and wife, Maria, Hortencia Richardson and Amparo Acosta and husband, Rueben; along with numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. The family would like to express its sincere appreciation to all the doctors, nurses and caregivers that supported Lino throughout these years.
