Lawrence B. Laskoskie

A funeral mass for Lawrence B. Laskoskie, 78, of Richmond, Texas will be held at 10 a.m., Monday, June 6, 2011 at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, 1416 George, Rosenberg, Texas. Interment, with military honors will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park in Rosenberg. Father William D. Bartniski will officiate the services. Visitation will be from 3:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m., followed by a rosary at 5:00 p.m., Sunday, June 5, 2011 at Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Rosenberg. Lawrence was born March 17, 1933 in Orchard, Texas to Lee Francis and Matilda Delores Vray Laskoskie. In past years, Lawrence enjoyed baseball and golf and he was even on a bowling league. He was a retired Colonel in the United States Army Reserves after more than 37 years of service. Lawrence was a faithful member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church. He donated many hours helping in different capacities at the church, including perpetual adoration and was a co-founder of a grief support group. Lawrence was a member of the Aggie Corp., having graduated in 1955. Lawrence loved playing dominoes with family members. He passed away on June 1, 2011 in Richmond. He is preceded in death by his wife, Patricia A. Henry Laskoskie; daughter, Rose Rosie Catherine Laskoskie; sister-in-law, Patricia Ann Laskoskie; and brother-in-law, Ed Gaertner. Lawrence is survived by his son, John Francis Laskoskie and wife, Margareth; daughter, Linda Laskoskie Jaynes and husband, Pat; grandchildren, Bruce Carl "Tuffy" Jaynes, Brianna Marie Jaynes and Thomas Patrick Laskoskie; siblings, James Laskoskie, Vivian Murry, Catherine Gaertner, Leona Maupin and husband, E.J., Jerome Laskoskie, Clarence Laskoskie and wife, Brenda, and Marilyn Krenek and husband, Johnnie; brother-in-law, Dan Kobbe; his four legged companion, Lucky; along with numerous nieces, nephews, other family and many friends. Pallbearers will include Bruce Carl Jaynes, Jerome Laskoskie, John Fields, Johnnie Krenek, Greg Krenek, Roger Maupin, Howard Okabayashi and Lloyd Jochec. Honorary Pallbearers will include Brianna Marie Jaynes, Thomas Patrick Laskoskie, Clarence Laskoskie, James Laskoskie, Vivian Murry, Catherine Gaertner, Leona Maupin, Marilyn Krenek and Dan Kobbe.
