Kerry Wayne Kohleffel

Funeral services for Kerry Wayne Kohleffel, 55, a life-long resident of Needville, will be held at 10:00 A.M., Thursday, March 6, 2008 in the Chapel of Davis-Greenlawn Funeral Home in Rosenberg with interment following at Greenlawn Memorial Park in Rosenberg. Rev. Byron Williamson and Rev. Ben Gardner will officiate the services. The family will receive friends from 5:00 P. M. until 8:00 P. M., Wednesday, March 5, 2008 in the Chapel of Davis-Greenlawn Funeral Home in Rosenberg. Kerry was born June 11, 1952 in Wharton, to Leroy and Doris Kohleffel. He graduated from Needville High School in 1970 and earned an Associates Degree in Business from Wharton County Junior College. He has been a co-owner of Western Power and Hardware in Needville for 39 years. He married Rebecca Reaves Kohleffel on August 2, 1975 at Friendship Assembly of God in Richmond. Kerry was a member of the Needville Chamber of Commerce and Calvary Baptist Church in Rosenberg. He passed away March 2, 2008 at his home in Needville. Kerry is preceded in death by his mother, Doris Kohleffel. He is survived by his wife of 32 years, Rebecca Kohleffel; children: Patrick Kohleffel and wife, Ashlie, Adam Kohleffel and Melanie Manville; grandchildren: Kyle Kohleffel and soon-to-be Baby Kohleffel; father: Leroy Kohleffel; brother: Charles Kohleffel, and wife, Sandra, and their daughter, Jessica Kohleffel; twin sister: Karen Bohac and husband, Andrew, and their children, Aron Bohac and Anissa and T. J. Miller; father and mother-in-law: Wilson and Perna Reaves; brother-in-law: Roger Reaves and wife, Lisa, and their son, Maxwell Reaves; along with other relatives and a host of friends. He was the Rock of our Family. We love him and will always cherish the time God shared him with us. Our memories of him will be held dear in our hearts forever. Pallbearers will include Mike Schneider, Mike Pasteka, Leo Flores, Eldon Elliston, Roger Reaves and Mike Lowe. Honorary Pallbearers will include Maxwell Reaves and Kyle Kohleffel. The family requests memorials in memory of Kerry be made to Grace Baptist Church, Building Fund, P. O. Box 1388, Rosenberg, Texas, 77471.
