Joyce Allison

Joyce Ellen Klausen Allison, 84, of Arlington, Texas, went to be with the Lord Wednesday, May 4. She was a beloved Christian wife, mother, grandma Nana, aunt, and friend to many. She was born on December 6, 1931 in Kansas City, KS to Christian Hiram Klausen and Cinderella Ellen Moore Klausen and grew up in Bethel, Kansas. She was a long time resident of Kansas City, Kansas and graduated from Washington High School. She moved to Sugar Land, Texas after retirement and then resided in Arlington, Texas the last three years of her life. She was a former preschool teacher for the city of Kansas City, KS working out of the Parish House in Argentine, a school cafeteria cook for Turner School District, a secretary for Ford Motor Company and Farmers Insurance, and in high school a sales clerk at Katz's Drug Store. A long time member at Argentine Church of Christ in Kansas City, Kansas, and a member of First Colony Church of Christ in Sugar Land, Texas. She is preceded in death by her husband of nearly 60 years, Harold Gene Allison, parents, two sisters and two brothers. She is survived by her children, Steve Allison Anne of Abilene, Joy Walker of Sugar Land, Twyla Allison of Arlington, and Dwight Allison of Keller; seven beloved grandchildren, Luke Walker Aislynn, Andrew Walker Amanda, Allison Walker Boyle, Melody Allison Trowell Randy, Noël Allison Borchardt Jordan, Ashley Allison, and Madeleine Allison; eight absolutely adored great-grandchildren Liliana, twin Lilah, and sister Cosette father Luke, Autumn and sister Olivia father Andrew, Noah and twin siblings Charlotte and Bennett mother Melody; grand-dogs; nieces; nephews; cousins; and many dear friends especially Leonida Dang Timbreza. Visitation will be Thursday, May 12 from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Davis Greenlawn Funeral Chapel 3900 B F Terry Blvd, Rosenberg, TX 77471 p. 281 341-8800.
