John Andrew Vaughn

John Andrew Vaughn, 48, of Richmond, Texas passed away on April 1, 2020. John Andrew Vaughn received his wings on April 1, 2020. We suspect that he demanded that they be blue and silver, and if you knew John, you know that he would not have needed for anyone to take a turn and close that deal! Forever the most loyal Dallas Cowboys fan that you ever knew, and always ready with a comeback for anyone who did not agree that they were “America’s Team.” While the Cowboy’s last few seasons had broken his heart, that is not what took him from us. He passed away suddenly and peacefully due to complications of pneumonia. John’s love for the Cowboys was only second to the love that he had for his family, friends, and people in general! A lot of people are described as “the life of the party.” In most cases with John, he was the party, the DJ, the choreographer, lead singer, bartender, host, and whatever else was needed to keep the party going. He never met a stranger, and you never had to wonder what he was thinking. He had a love for the car business and every person that he met in his almost 30 years in that industry. John was a mentor and friend to many, and a constant source of laughter to all. He was a loving and doting husband to his high school sweetheart and wife of 28 years, a supportive and extremely proud father to his three amazing children, and loved to spoil his two granddaughters. It will come as no surprise that John did not want a sad funeral service, but made it very clear that his wish was for there to be a party to celebrate his life. Due to the current limitations on social gatherings, we are unable to do that at this time. However, we will be arranging a celebration of life for all that knew and loved him whenever the social distancing orders have been lifted. Left to honor John and remember his love and laughter are his wife, Jennifer Vaughn; sons, Austen and Chandler Vaughn; daughter, Bailey Vaughn; granddaughters, Lillie and Autumn Vaughn; parents, Johnny “JR” Vaughn, Linda and Jordan Jones, Pat and Rhonda Duhon, Elizabeth Duhon; siblings, Kati and Hannah Vaughn, Allen Duhon; as well as a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.
