Jaton Sheree Lee, 53, passed away on August 8, 2026, in McKinney, Texas. She was born on February 7, 1973, in Odessa, Texas, to Vickie Windham and Harry Lindenberg. She was raised by Vickie and Sonny Windham. Jaton was married to Roger Lee for 30 years. Together, they raised their three sons and built a life centered on family. In recent years, she shared love and companionship with Brian Potenza. Roger and Brian each held an important place in her life and in her heart. Jaton worked as a medical billing specialist, but the center of her life was always her family, especially her sons. She was brave, strong, beautiful, funny, and instinctively selfless. She noticed what other people needed, remembered the small things, and gave more of herself than anyone ever had the right to expect. Caring for others was not merely something Jaton did; it was central to who she was. She gave her time, energy, and love freely, often setting aside her own needs so that no one she loved had to carry a burden alone. Her sons never doubted that she would be there for them. She gave even when doing so cost her sleep, comfort, or things she needed herself. When a situation seemed impossible, she somehow found a way forward. She always encouraged her sons to do what would make them happy and reassured them that they would always be taken care of. Jaton had a warmth that made people feel comfortable being themselves. She could light up a room without trying and created a welcoming, nonjudgmental atmosphere wherever she went. Her family will always remember the comfort found simply in being around her. Christmas brought Jaton particular joy. Each year, she transformed her home with dozens of snowmen, some standing several feet tall. Her family always looked forward to the beginning of the season and the happiness she brought to it. Jaton deeply loved her dog, Fenway. She made him treats, sang to him, took him on walks, and brought him nearly everywhere she went. Fenway, her beloved companion, passed away alongside her. Jaton was a Christian, and she lived her faith through her devotion to others. She will be remembered most for her selflessness, her warmth, and the countless ways she made the people she loved feel cared for. She was preceded in death by her son, Jacob Lee, whom she lost during pregnancy, and her grandmother, Helen Louise Powell. She is survived by her partner, Brian Potenza; her former husband, Roger Lee; her parents, Vickie and Sonny Windham; her sons, Zac Lee, Eric Lee, and Connor Lee; her siblings, Mike Windham, Brandie Gustafson, Darren Lindenberg, Connie DeLeon, Danielle Pierce, and Tori Caterina; and her nieces and nephews, Rico Deleon, Rachel Deleon, Josh Lindenberg, Jonathan Lindenberg, Cullen Pierce, Everly Pierce, and Lainey Caterina. Family and friends will gather to celebrate Jaton’s life during a graveside service being held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, August 17, 2026 at Greenlawn Memorial Park in Rosenberg.
