Jack Edwin Boepple, Sr.

Visitation for Jack Edwin Boepple, Sr., 76, of Richmond, will be held from 5:00 P. M. until 9:00 P. M., Tuesday, February 13, 2007 at Davis-Greenlawn Funeral Chapel in Rosenberg. A Rosary will be recited at 9:45 A. M., followed by a Funeral Mass at 10:00 A. M., on Friday, February 23, 2007 at St. Michaels Catholic Church in Needville with Father James Ramsey officiating. Interment will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park in Rosenberg. Jack was called home to be with his Savior on February 11, 2007. He will be missed by anyone who happened to know him. Until his retirement, Jack was a door greeter at Wal-Mart, both in Rosenberg and the Super Center in Richmond. If his friendly greeting didnt grab you, his ever-present smile would. Prior to that Jack was an agent for Washington National Insurance. During his many years there, Jack became acquainted with more than half of the total population of Ft. Bend County at that time. Even twenty years later, he could still remember his clients, their children and even grandchildren. They remember his smile. Before that, Jack developed his love for classic movies, by operating movie theaters in Ganado and Wharton. He developed a passion for B Westerns and the like. Jack had been an avid collector of these movies for years. Jack Edwin Boepple, Sr. was born, April 10, 1930 to Fred Charles Sr. and Golda Mitchell Boepple. On April 12, 1955 he married Darlene Joyce Janecka. They had three children: Janice Marie, Jack Edwin Jr., and Michael Wayne. He passed away quietly on February 11, 2007 in Richmond, Texas after a brief illness. Jack is preceded in death by his wife, Darlene Joyce Boepple; parents, Fred Charles Sr. and Golda Mitchell Boepple; and brother, James Patrick Boepple. He is survived by: Daughter: Janice Marie Poppenhusen and husband, Robert; Sons: Jack Edwin Boepple, Jr.; Michael Wayne Boepple and wife, Michelle; Brothers:Fred Charles Boepple, Jr. and wife, Dawn, Mitch Boepple and wife, Molly; Sisters: Judy Liberda and husband, Carol, Jane Boepple Cliningsmith; Grandchildren Whitney and Haley Boepple, Travis and Rebecca Poppenhusen; along with other relatives and many friends. A special thanks to all of the medical professionals who have helped Jack over the past six months. Your expertise made a difficult situation more bearable. For Jack: For you a light shining in the wilderness was useless. If no one was there to see it, what use was it. You were at your best in a crowd. If they werent smiling you gave them one. If there was a problem you would listen. There were many things you did not know. But showing you cared, when it really mattered wasnt one of them. We will miss your smile and that contagious laugh.
