Inez Thorson

Inez Thorson, 90, of Richmond, Texas was born on September 20, 1919 in Oklahoma to Oscar David and Glover Fuller Welter. After a long, hard battle with lung disease and arthritis, she went home to be with the Lord on December 26, 2009. Inez is predeceased by her husband of 45 years, Clinton Thorson, and her grandson, Christopher James Worthy. She is survived by her sons: James Worthy and wife Michal of Conroe, Texas; Bobby Worthy and wife Margaret of Needville, Texas; Kenneth Worthy and wife Diane of Cuero, Texas; and Raymond Thorson and wife Donna of Guy, Texas. She is also survived by her daughter, Betty Walger and her husband, Louis of Rosenberg, Texas. Survivors also include her grandchildren and great grandchildren: Shelly Payne and husband John and their children Joshua and Ashley of Humble, Texas; Kasey Manchester and special friend Rene Medina or Richmond, Texas and her son Stephen of Rosenberg, Texas; Jana Lavender and husband Howard and their children Trey, Kyle, Hannah and Jacob of Sweeny, Texas; Robert Worthy and wife Michelle and their children Elizabeth, Jonathan, Isabelle and Joseph of Houston, Texas; DeeAnn Orellana and husband Sam and their children Sofia and Alysa Bella of Needville, Texas; Sara Beth Zakem and husband Cole and their son Wesley of Guy, Texas; Aaron Kyle Worthy of Houston, Texas; Kristy Worthy and her children Kensey and Kassidy of Cuero, Texas; David Worthy of Cuero, Texas; Raymond Thorson Jr. of Houston, Texas; Ellicia Johnson and her children Gavin, Amber, Layla and Cayson of Pasadena, Texas; Jennifer Thorson of Houston, Texas; Savannah Thorson of Guy, Texas; and her adopted grandson A.J. Garcia. Pallbearers will be: Stephen Manchester, James Worthy, Bobby Worthy, Kenneth Worthy, Raymond Thorson and Louis Walger. Inez, or mamaw as the was called, will be greatly missed by her family and friends, but after a long and hard-fought battle with lung disease and arthritis, the Lord saw fit to call her home where her battle is over, and her pain is finally gone. God Bless you Mamaw, We love you!!! Funeral services will be held Wednesday, December 30, 2009 at 10:00 a.m. in the Chapel of Davis Greenlawn Funeral Home in Rosenberg, Texas. Pastor Ben Gardner will officiate. Visitation will be 1 hour prior to service. Burial will be held at 2:00 p.m. at Guedry Cemetery in Batson, Texas.
