Hettie T. Jedlicka

Hettie Theresa Milder Jedlicka was born on October 23, 1917 and went home to be with our Lord on October 18, 2011. She passed away peacefully while living at Fort Bend Nursing Home in Rosenberg, where she had many kind and loving caregivers. Hettie was born in Theon and grew up in the Cornhill Community. After her marriage to Anton in 1945, they lived in many farming communities. Hettie was an active member in the Rosenberg American Legion Ladies Auxiliary, a member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church and a long-time KJZT member. Hettie was a great cook, a quilter and a wonderful kolache baker - especially cheese ones. The neighbor children would say that she was famous for her Popcorn balls at Halloween time. Mostly, Hettie was a homemaker and a gardener. She did not allow a weed to live long in that yard. She was a loving Mother, Grandma and Great Grandma. She is preceded in death by her husband, Anton; her parents, IG and Josefa Milder; and her siblings, Annie Kalich, Marie Milder, Joseph Milder, Josephine Milder, Cyril Milder, Anton Milder, Ludmila Milder, Ignac Milder, Agnes Juranek, and Stephen Milder. Hettie is survived by her sister, Frances Janis of El Campo; her children, Tony Jedlicka of Richmond, Daniel Jedlicka and wife, Karen, of Montgomery, Jo Ann Meyer of Richmond, Louis Jedlicka and his wife, Karen, of Richmond, and Mary Johnson and her husband, Steve, of Midland; grandchildren, Michael Meyer and wife, Christina, of Richmond, Lori Jedlicka of Magnolia, Melissa Hinshaw and her husband, Chris, of Spring, Kevin Dylla and his wife, Janice, of Sugar Land, Keith Dylla of Midland, Kristina Kasper and her husband, Wes, of Cypress, Glen Hanks of Fayetteville, NC, Regina Nicks and her husband, Steve, of Castle Rock, Colorado, and Maggie Jedlicka of Richmond. Her great grandchildren include Grady Dylla, Evelyn Dylla, Jonas Hinshaw, Colson Hinshaw, Connor Meyer, Madden Meyer, Chase Nicks, Frank Nicks, and Vaughan Nicks; and many numerous nieces and nephews. Those honored to assist Hettie as pallbearers will be Keith Dylla, Michael Meyer, Chris Hinshaw, Wes Kasper, Frankie Jedlicka and Vencil Jedlicka. Assisting as an honorary pallbearer will be Grady Dylla. Words of condolence may be left for the Jedlicka family at www.davisgreenlawnfh.com. Visitation will be held on from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday, October 21st at Davis-Greenlawn Funeral Chapel in Rosenberg with a wake service and rosary at 7 p.m. A funeral mass will be held at 10 a.m., Saturday, October 22nd at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, 1416 George St. Rosenberg. Interment will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park in Rosenberg. Father William D. Bartniski will officiate the services.
