WENCESLAUS CATHOLIC CHURCH*** Florian Joseph Drymala, beloved husband, father of six, grandfather of ten and great-grandfather of thirteen died peacefully at home, surrounded by family on July 26, 2021. Born on May 12, 1930 to Mike and Annie Drymala in Orchard, Texas. He danced through life with his sweetheart, Patricia Drymala, his wife of 65 years. He owned and operated a construction company up until his retirement in 1993. Anyone that knew him would know that he was not one sit still, he went on to start Drymala Foundation Drilling where he worked side-by-side with two of his daughters for the next 25+ years. Florian was a longtime member of St. Wenceslaus Mission Church in Beasley, Texas. He was generous with his time and support in the church serving in numerous capacities. One of his most cherished accomplishments was his role in the construction of the church in 1992. In addition to St. Wenceslaus, he also built St. John the Baptist Church in Hungerford, Texas in 1968. He immensely loved dancing with his wife, and took pride in teaching his daughters and granddaughters how to dance. He loved playing slots at the casinos. Additionally, he was an avid hunter and loved going to his ‘little piece of heaven’ at the Culberson Ranch in New Mexico. He was preceded in death by: his parents, Mike and Annie Drymala; brother, Felix Drymala; sisters, Helen Janda, Mary Vicenik, Delores Rachunek, Clara Drymala, Victoria Drymala and Annie Kubiak. Florian is survived by: his wife, Patricia Ann Drymala; daughters, Rose Ann Ellis, Sharon (Duane) Horelica, Robin (Larry) Heiman, Trish Drymala and Pamela (Larry) Kamas; sister, Theresa Novak and brother, Joe (Lucy) Drymala; grandchildren, Emily (Connor) Montgomery, Vicki (Erik) Olson, Matthew Ellis, Ashley (Zach) Dishman, Derek (Kristin) Horelica, Anna (Bobby) Danford, Christine (Michael) Huff, Amanda (Ryan) Solis, Laura (Jon) Winningham and Kaitlin (James) Staley. Florian is also survived by his cousin, Monsignor Eugene Francis, whom he considered his brother. Patricia would like to extend her sincere appreciation and gratitude for taking care of their Papa throughout his final days. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Holy Rosary Catholic Church Building Fund (hrccr.com). Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m., Thursday, July 29, 2021 at St. Wenceslaus Mission Church in Beasley. The funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, July 30, 2021 at St. Wenceslaus Mission Church in Beasley. Father Orrin Halepeska and Monsignor Eugene Francis will officiate. Burial to follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park in Rosenberg.
