Felix A. Kubosh

Felix A. Cotton Kubosh, 83, a native of the Pledger, New Gulf and Boling area, past from this life after a lengthy illness on January 7, 2008. Cotton was born January 13, 1924 in Rosenberg to a Czechoslovakian farmer and his wife, Henry and Albina Kubosh, who later settled on a farm in Pledger. He graduated from Boling High School in 1942. He retired from the New Gulf Field of Texas Gulf Sulfur Company after 36 years. He served as chairman of the Matagorda County Soil and Water Conservation District. A great husband, father and grandfather, his dream for his family was to build a successful family business which has come true for him to see. He will be greatly missed but never forgotten. He is survived by his wife, Frances Magdalene Kubosh of Pledger; Sons: Felix Mike Michael Kubosh of Cypress, Randall Randy Dexter Kubosh of Pearland, Paul Anthony Kubosh of Houston, Edward Ed Butch Dean Kubosh of Anchorage, Alaska; Brother: Henry Sonny Kubosh of Pledger; Grandchildren: Shelly Gibson of Cypress, Michael Scott Kubosh of Katy, Christopher Michael Kubosh of Cypress, Kristi Ann Kubosh of Pearland, Kaysie Lynn Kubosh of Pearland, Kody Wayne Kubosh of Pearland, Luke August Kubosh of Houston, Katelyn Ann Kubosh of Houston, Natalie Madeline Kubosh of Houston, Andrew Anthony Kubosh of Houston, Drew Edward Kubosh of Denver, Colorado, Julie Vandenboss of Anchorage, Alaska, Trisha Kubosh of Anchorage Alaska, Derrick Kubosh of Anchorage, Alaska, Deana Kubosh of Anchorage, Alaska, Joshua Garrett of Tomball, Justin Garrett of Cypress; Nephews: Donald Donnie Wayne McWilliams of Houston, John Kubosh of Pledger, Craig Kubosh of Germany; Nieces: Peggy Kubosh of Pledger, Connie Kalkimey of Needville; 12 Great Grandchildren; along with other relatives and many friends. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 P. M., Wednesday, January 9, 2008 at Davis-Greenlawn Funeral Chapel in Rosenberg. Interment will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park in Rosenberg. The family will receive friends from 6:00 P. M. until 8:00 P. M., Tuesday, January 8, 2008 in the State Room of Davis-Greenlawn Funeral Home in Rosenberg.
